How much power does the JBL Authentics 200 deliver?
90 watts in total, measured at maximum for 1% distortion. It is a 2.0 stereo system: two 25 mm tweeters, one 5-inch full-range woofer and a 6-inch down-firing passive radiator for the bass.
Can Alexa and Google Assistant be used on the same speaker?
Yes, simultaneously — that is what sets this speaker apart. You talk to one or the other without switching modes, to control the music or your connected devices. Their availability does, however, depend on the country and language.
How do you send music to the JBL Authentics 200?
Via built-in Wi-Fi — AirPlay, Chromecast, Spotify Connect and Alexa Multi-Room Music — or via Bluetooth. Wi-Fi has a practical advantage: you can leave the room or take a call without playback stopping.
Does the speaker need to be adjusted for the room it is placed in?
No, it does it by itself. Each time it is switched on, the speaker automatically calibrates and optimises its sound according to its position. You can move it from one room to another without redoing the settings.
Can several JBL Authentics speakers be linked around the home?
Yes, for multi-room playback: from the Google Home or Amazon Alexa app, you link two or more speakers to the same playlist. The JBL One app, for its part, handles the equaliser and fine-tuning.
