Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Keyboard : manufacturers' images are international: our computers ship with an AZERTY (French) keyboard, even when the photo shows a QWERTY one.
  • Visible features : a fingerprint reader, backlit keyboard, webcam, numeric keypad or card reader glimpsed in the image are not necessarily present on this exact reference.
  • Ports and connectors : the number, type and position of the ports (USB, USB-C, HDMI, RJ45) change from one configuration to another within a single photographed series.
  • Display : the image shown on the screen is a composite; resolution, touch panel and bezel thinness are those of the specifications.
  • Operating system : the Windows desktop visible in the photo implies neither a Windows licence nor an Office suite installed: the specifications state the system actually delivered.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can memory be added to this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX?
No. The 64 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 is mounted directly on the motherboard — the “on board” mention — and therefore cannot be replaced. At this capacity, the question of expansion no longer really arises anyway.
How good is the RTX 5090 in this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX?
It is a dedicated card with 24 GB of GDDR7, the one with the most video memory in the mobile range. These 24 GB are its own and take nothing from the system memory: that is what lets it handle heavy 3D scenes and large AI models.
Is the display of this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX glossy?
Yes: the 16-inch OLED panel is glossy, at 2560 × 1600 and 240 Hz, G-Sync compatible, covering 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space and Pantone Validated. The contrast and colour accuracy come at the price of reflections under direct lighting.
Does this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX have an SD card reader?
Yes, a UHS-II SD reader, rated at 312 MB/s: the card from a camera or camcorder can be offloaded directly, with no external reader and no loss of speed. A rare feature on a gaming laptop, and a valuable one for a creator.
What ports does this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX have?
One Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort and charging, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port that is G-SYNC compatible, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a UHS-II SD reader and a combined headphone/microphone jack.
Does this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX have an RJ-45 network port?
No, there is no Ethernet port on this slim chassis: a wired network connection goes through a USB-C adapter. For wireless, the machine has Wi-Fi 7, the latest generation — useful for online gaming with a compatible router.
1.95 kg for a 16-inch laptop with an RTX 5090 — is it portable?
Yes, it is remarkably light for this much power, in a chassis machined from solid aluminium. The 240 W adapter is the real weight to plan for: that is what the configuration demands at full load.
How do you unlock this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX?
With your face: the webcam has an infrared function compatible with Windows Hello, which works even in a dimly lit room. The keyboard is a backlit AZERTY with single-zone RGB, adjustable in the ROG software.
Is this Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 GU605CX new and complete?
Yes, it is new and sealed, covered by a 2-year warranty for which the purchase invoice serves as the warranty document. It comes with Windows 11 Home, a 2 TB SSD and a 90 Wh battery, and is supplied with a mouse and a ROG sleeve.
