1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

What does ECC error correction bring to a NAS?

What does PC4-21300 mean on this DDR4 module?
It is the standardised designation of DDR4 clocked at 2,666 MHz — two ways of naming the same speed. The module is powered at 1.2 V.
What are these additional 8 GB used for on a NAS?
To absorb the tasks that saturate memory: virtualisation, backups and application services. More RAM also makes multitasking smoother and speeds up indexing day to day.
What does unbuffered ECC memory mean?
That error correction is present, but without the intermediate register of registered server memory. It is the type of module expected by the Synology NAS models concerned — the two are not interchangeable.
Is this Synology 8 GB ECC module new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new Synology product, reference D4ES03-8G, with a capacity of 8 GB. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Keep it in case a defect is found.
