1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the BVG1200I-GR run on battery?
About 4.5 minutes at half load, i.e. with 325 W connected. That is short, and deliberately so: this UPS is designed to let you finish what you are typing, save your work and shut down properly, not to keep working through a long outage.
Does this UPS work when powered by a generator?
Yes, it is designed to accept a generator as its power source. That is far from true of every UPS: many reject a generator's irregular frequency and immediately switch back to battery, draining it within a few minutes.
Are all four Schuko outlets battery-backed?
Yes, all four Schuko CEE 7/3 outlets are protected by the battery: none is reserved for surge protection only. You plug your devices in directly, without an adapter, on a unit powered through a Schuko input cable.
Does the UPS restart on its own after an extended power cut?
Yes, the automatic restart function restores power as soon as mains power returns, with no intervention needed. A resettable 8 A / 250 V circuit breaker also protects the input: in the event of an overload, it is reset with a button, with no fuse to replace.
Why do 1200 VA give only 650 W of usable power?
Because of the power factor, 0.54: 1200 × 0.54 ≈ 650 W. It is this figure in watts that you should compare with your equipment's consumption, and here it is noticeably lower than the “1200 VA” rating suggests.
What waveform does the Easy-UPS BVG1200I-GR output?
An approximation of a sine wave, not a pure sine wave: the signal is rebuilt in steps when running on battery. Transfer time, for its part, is 6 milliseconds typical and 10 maximum.
What battery does the UPS use, and how long does it take to recharge?
A maintenance-free 24 V / 7 Ah sealed lead-acid battery, recharged in 6 to 8 hours. The battery connector is accessible on the rear panel, next to the four outlets and the resettable circuit breaker.
What can you plug into a 650 W UPS?
A complete desktop workstation — computer, monitor and peripherals —, an internet box with its router and modem, a small server or a NAS long enough for a clean shutdown, or a CCTV recorder and its cameras. The total in watts simply needs to stay below 650 W.
Is the UPS noisy, and how much space does it take up?
Less than 45 dBA, in a tower unit measuring 320 × 130 × 182 mm and weighing 7.2 kg, with ventilated sides. This noise level means it can stay on a desk or in a small room without becoming a nuisance.
Is the APC Easy-UPS BVG1200I-GR new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document. The front panel has an on/off button and clearly visible status LEDs that show at any time whether the unit is running on mains power or on battery.
