On the 5, 6, 8 and 10 kVA Smart-UPS SRT models. It is a kit dedicated to this range: check the exact power rating of your UPS before ordering, as the cradles are not interchangeable from one series to another.
What does this APC rack mounting kit contain?
The installation guide and the screws and fixings needed for mounting. Nothing else is required to secure the UPS in a 19-inch rack.
What are the dimensions of this APC kit?
527 × 89 × 44 mm, weighing 2.73 kg. The 44 mm height corresponds to 1U in a 19-inch rack: that is the height taken up by the rails themselves, on top of that of the UPS.
Why mount a UPS in a rack rather than standing it on the floor?
For compactness and tidy cabling: the UPS joins the equipment it powers, in the same enclosure. The kit makes this rack-mount design possible on a model that, without it, would remain free-standing.
