The Balder 6000's backup,
stored in two units.
This cabinet only works with a UPS: it houses the battery string that provides or extends its runtime. Supplied empty, with its connection cable, it goes into a rack or stands as a tower next to the UPS.

Sixteen blocks in series, pre-wired
The cabinet takes sixteen 12 V lead-acid batteries of 7 or 9 Ah, up to 151 × 65 × 95 mm in size. The wires that link them in series are already in the cabinet: fit the blocks, connect them to one another, and the string delivers 192 V DC. The operation is done with the cabinet disconnected from the UPS.
One cabinet, then another if needed
Its DC connector links to the UPS or to a second cabinet chained behind the first. The Balder 6000 accepts up to four. Filled with new HR09122F batteries, a single cabinet already gives it these backup times.

The 50 A breaker protects the string against over-current and also serves for maintenance. To replace the batteries of a cabinet, switch it to “O”: if another cabinet is connected, the UPS voltage keeps reaching it without interruption.

Install the cabinet indoors, away from sunlight, dust and salty air. Batteries left unused should be recharged every two to three months; connected to the UPS, they recharge on their own.

No: the cabinet is supplied empty. It takes 16 12 V lead-acid batteries of 7 Ah or 9 Ah, with a maximum size of 151 × 65 × 95 mm, to be ordered separately. The HR09122F model is the reference for the runtimes stated for the Balder 6000.
Which UPS units is this cabinet compatible with?
It is designed for nJoy Balder 6000 and Balder 10000 UPS units, which run on external batteries only. Its output voltage of 192 V DC matches the string of 16 12 V batteries these UPS units expect by default.
What runtime does it give a Balder 6000?
A Balder 6000 connected to this cabinet, filled with 16 HR09122F batteries, new and charged, holds 5 min at full load, 9 min at 75%, 17 min at half load and 42 min at 25%. Older batteries, a hot room or a more demanding load reduce these times: keep a margin.
Can several cabinets be connected to the same UPS?
Yes: a Balder 6000 accepts up to 4 external battery cabinets. Each filled cabinet adds its energy reserve, and the UPS charger is adjustable from 1 to 4 A to recharge a larger battery bank within a reasonable time.
