Frequently asked questions about this product
Which printers accept the HP 903 black cartridge (T6L99AE)?
The HP OfficeJet 6950 (P4C78A) and the Pro 6960 (J7K33A) and Pro 6970 (J7K34A) all-in-ones. The black cartridge currently installed must carry the reference T6L99AE or 903.
How many pages does the HP 903 black cartridge print?
Approximately 300 pages, from 8 ml of ink. It is a format for occasional printing: for a workstation that prints regularly, the high-yield version in the range spaces out replacements considerably.
How is the yield of an ink cartridge measured?
According to the ISO/IEC 24711 standard, the one for inkjet cartridges, in continuous printing on a reference machine. Your real documents make the result vary, sometimes considerably.
Does the HP 903 ink last over time?
Yes. These are pigment inks designed for the office, offering consistent durability and legibility: that is what you need for a document meant to be archived rather than thrown away the same evening.
Does the choice of paper change how this ink looks?
Yes. HP states richer colours and deeper blacks on ColorLok papers. On plain paper, the result is still good, but the difference shows on a document intended for a customer.
Do all the cartridges have to be replaced at the same time?
No. In this range, each cartridge is replaced separately, as you need: you only pay for the colour that has actually run out.
What type of user is this range aimed at?
Entrepreneurs and small businesses that want to project a professional image without moving up to a higher-end machine: office-quality black text and colours, at a controlled cost.
How long do three hundred pages last?
A little over half a ream of 500 sheets. For a workstation that prints thirty pages a month, one cartridge lasts ten months; at a hundred pages a month, barely three months.
Does the HP 903 cartridge contain recycled materials?
Yes. HP states that it has used more than 5.8 billion recycled plastic bottles to manufacture its genuine ink cartridges.
Does the T6L99AE print in colour?
No, only in black. It is replaced independently of the colour cartridges: still, check all four levels before ordering, to avoid two stoppages in quick succession.
Is this HP 903 cartridge new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new, genuine HP cartridge, barcode 889894728876. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 3 months. Full datasheet: HP 903 ink cartridges.
