1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Will this Canon RF lens fit my EOS DSLR?
No: it has an RF mount, the mount used by EOS R mirrorless cameras. A DSLR with an EF mount cannot take it.
What does this lens's f/1.2 aperture make possible?
Stunning results in low light and creative control over depth of field. At f/1.2, only a very thin plane stays sharp: it is the portrait photographer's aperture.
What kind of background blur does this lens produce?
Its 10-blade aperture rounds off out-of-focus points of light. Canon states that detail is brought out right to the edges of the image, not just in the centre.
Is this lens resistant to rain and dust?
Yes: it benefits from L-series weather sealing, Canon's professional range. That is what lets you work outdoors without added protection.
Is this lens stabilised?
No: it has no optical stabilisation. On an EOS R body with sensor stabilisation, the camera compensates; otherwise, you will need to keep an eye on your shutter speed.
What uses is this 50 mm lens intended for?
Portraits and travel or everyday photography. On full frame, 50 mm is the focal length closest to natural vision: it works as well for portraits as for street photography.
