This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the HP ScanJet Pro 3600 f1 scan a bound book?
Yes. It is a flatbed scanner with a feeder: the glass takes bound documents, registers and fragile items, while the automatic document feeder takes care of stacks of sheets. A sheet-fed-only scanner could not handle a bound volume.
What is the real speed of the HP ScanJet Pro 3600 f1?
30 pages per minute single-sided, or 60 images per minute in duplex — both sides being read in a single pass. Two figures, two different measures: the second counts images, not sheets.
How many sheets does the HP ScanJet Pro 3600 f1's feeder take?
60 sheets. That is the stack you load in one go before starting the batch, and the recommended volume is 3,000 pages per day — it is this second figure that tells you whether the machine is sized for your department.
What happens if two sheets feed through stuck together?
The scanner detects them: it has ultrasonic double-feed detection (HP EveryPage). Without it, a stapled or static-charged page goes unnoticed and disappears from the scanned file — the costliest mistake in an archiving project.
What is the resolution of the HP ScanJet Pro 3600 f1?
1,200 dpi on the glass, 600 dpi through the feeder. The two values are not interchangeable: high resolution is only available on the glass, for a photo or an old document. The feeder, for its part, puts speed first.
Does the HP ScanJet Pro 3600 f1 accept long documents?
Yes, up to 3.1 m through the feeder. That is what makes it possible to scan a plan, a continuous listing or an unrolled till receipt, formats no glass could ever take. The maximum size on the glass is A4.
How does the HP ScanJet Pro 3600 f1 connect?
Via USB 3.0, directly to the computer that uses it. It has no network interface: it is a personal desktop scanner, unlike the models with a screen and Ethernet designed to be shared between several people.
Will the scanned text be searchable?
Yes, thanks to built-in OCR: output can be searchable PDF, Word, Excel or text. A searchable PDF looks like an image, but its text can be searched and copied — that is what makes an archive usable.
Can you scan an ID card on this scanner?
Yes, on the glass, which is designed for books, magazines and ID cards. A thick, rigid item does not feed well through a feeder: the glass remains the right route, and double-sided scanning is done there in two placements.
Which papers does the feeder accept?
Paper from 49 to 120 g/m² in the feeder. Outside this range, the sheet risks jamming or multi-feeding: paper that is too thin folds, and card that is too thick cannot take the curve of the paper path.
Is the HP ScanJet Pro 3600 f1 scanner new and under warranty?
New, reference 20G06A, in its original packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a claim.
