This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the Epson WorkForce DS-70000N scan a bound book?
Yes. It is a flatbed scanner with a feeder: the glass takes bound documents, registers and fragile items, while the automatic document feeder takes care of stacks of sheets. A sheet-fed-only scanner could not handle a bound volume.
What is the real speed of the Epson WorkForce DS-70000N?
70 pages per minute single-sided, or 140 images per minute in duplex — both sides being read in a single pass. Two figures, two different measures: the second counts images, not sheets.
How many sheets does the Epson WorkForce DS-70000N's feeder take?
200 sheets. That is the stack you load in one go before starting the batch, and the recommended volume is 8,000 pages per day — it is this second figure that tells you whether the machine is sized for your department.
What happens if two sheets feed through stuck together?
The scanner detects them: it has ultrasonic double-feed detection. Without it, a stapled or static-charged page goes unnoticed and disappears from the scanned file — the costliest mistake in an archiving project.
What optical resolution does the Epson WorkForce DS-70000N offer?
600 dpi, with an input colour depth of 48 bits. That is the sensor's resolution, the one that counts: a higher “interpolated” resolution would add no real detail.
Does the Epson WorkForce DS-70000N accept long documents?
Yes, up to 2.5 m through the feeder. That is what makes it possible to scan a plan, a continuous listing or an unrolled till receipt, formats no glass could ever take. The maximum size on the glass is A3.
Can you scan without switching on a computer?
Yes. The Ethernet interface and the control panel come as standard: users start their scan from the device and send it to e-mail, a network folder, an FTP server or SharePoint, with no computer running beside it.
Which papers does the feeder accept?
Paper from 35 to 128 g/m² in the feeder. Outside this range, the sheet risks jamming or multi-feeding: paper that is too thin folds, and card that is too thick cannot take the curve of the paper path.
Do you have to wait for the scanner to warm up?
No. ReadyScan LED lighting needs no warm-up time: the first page goes through as soon as the scanner is switched on, whereas a cold cathode lamp makes you wait.
Is the Epson WorkForce DS-70000N scanner new and under warranty?
New, reference B11B204331BT, in its original packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document you will be asked for when making a claim.
