1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Can the Epson WorkForce DS-6500 scan a bound book?
Yes. It is a flatbed scanner with a document feeder: the glass takes bound documents, registers and fragile items, while the automatic document feeder works through stacks of sheets. A sheet-fed scanner on its own cannot handle a bound volume.
What is the real speed of the Epson WorkForce DS-6500?
25 pages per minute in single-sided mode, i.e. 50 images per minute in duplex — both sides being read in a single pass. Two figures, two different measures: the second counts images, not sheets.
How many sheets does the Epson WorkForce DS-6500 feeder hold?
100 sheets. That is the stack you load in one go before starting a batch, and the recommended volume is 3,000 pages per day — it is this last figure that tells you whether the machine is sized for your department.
What happens if two sheets are fed together?
The scanner detects them: it has ultrasonic double-feed detection. Without it, a stapled page or one held by static would go unnoticed and be missing from the scanned file — the most costly mistake in an archiving project.
What optical resolution does the Epson WorkForce DS-6500 offer?
1,200 dpi, with a 48-bit input colour depth. This is the sensor's resolution, the one that matters: a higher “interpolated” resolution would add no real detail.
Does the Epson WorkForce DS-6500 accept long documents?
Yes, up to 1 m through the feeder. This is what lets you scan a plan, a continuous printout or an unrolled till receipt, formats no glass could take. The maximum size on the glass is A4.
Does the Epson WorkForce DS-6500 connect to the network?
Not as standard: it connects via USB, and the network interface card is available as an option. This is the point to settle before buying — the network version of the same model is sold separately.
What paper does the feeder accept?
Paper from 50 to 128 g/m² in the feeder. Outside this range, the sheet risks jamming or double-feeding: paper that is too thin folds, and card stock that is too thick cannot follow the curve of the paper path.
Do you have to wait for the scanner to warm up?
No. ReadyScan LED lighting needs no warm-up time: the first page goes through as soon as the scanner is switched on, whereas a cold-cathode lamp makes you wait.
Is the Epson WorkForce DS-6500 scanner new and under warranty?
New, part number B11B205231BA, in its original packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested in the event of a claim.
