This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Do you need to install a driver, and which computers does it work with?
No driver to install: it is plug and play, you plug it into a USB-A port and it is ready. It is recognised on Windows, macOS and Chromebook. Its 1.80 m cable gives you some slack for a tower sitting on the floor.
Can it be plugged into a phone or a console via a 3.5 mm jack?
No: it has no 3.5 mm connector, and it connects over USB-A only. It is a headset designed for the computer, the office and call centres — which is also why it needs no pairing and no charging.
Is the cable detachable in case it breaks?
No: the 1.80 m cable is non-detachable and carries the built-in control unit. It is the part to take care of on this model, since it cannot be replaced separately from the headset.
How do you quickly mute the mic during a meeting?
With the buttons built into the cable: a Mute button to switch off the mic and volume buttons, within reach in one move without going through software.
Does the microphone really filter out the noise of an open-plan floor?
Yes, it is a noise-cancelling boom microphone: it relies on a passive resistor to filter out ambient noise and optimise voice clarity, with no electronics to power. The boom rotates through 270°, so you can position it on whichever side you prefer.
Can you wear it for several hours in a row without discomfort?
It is designed for extended wear: a padded adjustable headband and over-ear ear cushions in leather-covered foam, which surround the ear instead of pressing on it. The headband is designed to fit all head sizes, from children to adults.
Can the volume go high enough to damage your hearing?
No: output is capped at 94 dB to protect the ears from excessive sound exposure. A useful limit in a call centre or a school, where the headset is worn all day.
Is the sound stereo, and is it suitable for anything other than calls?
Yes, it is a binaural (stereo) headset with 40 mm speakers, a wide dynamic range and deep bass. Its robust design in durable materials makes it as suitable for meetings as for music or gaming between calls.
Is this Kensington headset new and under warranty?
