Frequently asked questions about this product

Does this DDR5 module fit a DDR4 motherboard?
No. The key notch on the DDR5 connector is not in the same place: the module physically cannot be inserted into a DDR4 slot. This is the first thing to check.
Is this memory module suitable for a laptop?
No: it is a 288-pin U-DIMM, the long module used in desktop PCs. A laptop requires a shorter SO-DIMM.
What does this DDR5 module's on-die error correction bring?
It corrects memory errors right inside the chip, in real time, which also takes load off the processor. This is new with DDR5 and absent from consumer DDR4.
What is the latency of this ADATA memory module?
CAS 46-45-45 at 5,600 MHz. CAS latency increases with DDR5, but frequency rises even more: bandwidth remains far higher than that of DDR4 at 3,200 MHz.
Does this memory module use less power than DDR4?
Yes: it runs at 1.1 V, which means 8% less energy than DDR4. A power management IC (PMIC) is built into the module itself.
Is this product a kit of two modules?
No: it is a single 32 GB module. The motherboard's other slots remain free for a later upgrade.
Does this memory module work on AMD as well as Intel?
Yes: it is rated compatible with recent AMD and Intel platforms, as long as they support DDR5.
Is this ADATA 32 GB DDR5 memory module new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new ADATA product, reference AD5U560032G-S. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Datasheet: ADATA U-DIMM 32 GB DDR5-5600.
