3 years manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 3 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Cadu 1000 run on battery?
5 minutes 8 seconds at 50% load, i.e. 300 W, and only 2 minutes at 75%. The difference is steep: on this UPS, the margin you leave below 600 W directly determines how much time you will have to shut down properly.
Does the Cadu 1000 also protect the internet connection?
Yes, it provides surge protection on the RJ11 and RJ45 line, compatible up to 1 Gb/s — so the filter does not throttle a gigabit link. On the mains side, the input surge protector absorbs 475 joules.
Is this UPS compatible with a Synology NAS?
Yes, compatibility with Synology NAS units is stated. Connected to the USB HID port, it lets the NAS detect the power cut and unmount its volumes cleanly before the battery runs out — which is what avoids a volume rebuild on restart.
Can the Cadu 1000 be used behind a generator?
No, generator compatibility is not guaranteed on this model. Behind a generator, it could keep switching back to battery because it does not accept the source's irregular frequency: you then need a UPS that explicitly states this compatibility.
Are all four outlets backed up by the battery?
Yes, all four Schuko outlets are powered by the battery: none is reserved for surge protection only. With 600 W of usable power shared between them, the UPS covers a complete workstation and its internet router.
What waveform does the Cadu 1000 deliver?
A simulated sine wave, built up in steps, not a pure sine wave. Transfer to battery takes 2 to 6 milliseconds, over an accepted input voltage range of 176 to 280 V.
Why do 1000 VA only give 600 W?
The power factor is 0.6: 1000 × 0.6 = 600 W actually available. Add up the watts of the desktop tower, the monitor and the internet router, and stay well below this ceiling — the runtime depends on it as much as the protection does.
Can the UPS start without mains power, and is it noisy?
Yes, it has a cold start function: it powers up on battery even with no mains present. Its noise level stays below 40 dB, so it can sit next to a workstation.
How much space does the Cadu 1000 take up, and what batteries does it use?
345 × 146 × 160 mm for 8 kg, in a tower format. It houses two internal GP07122F batteries; running two UPS units in parallel, however, is not supported.
Is the nJoy Cadu 1000 UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for 3 years. An LCD screen shows the status, load and battery level; the datasheet details the built-in protections.
