This product is covered for 3 years by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How long does the Cadu 650 last on battery?
18 min 23 s at 25% load, 6 minutes at 50% (180 W) and only 40 seconds at 75%. The difference is stark: on a UPS of this size, the connected load matters far more than the rated power, and it is better to stay well below the ceiling.
Does the Cadu 650 also protect the internet connection?
Yes, it has built-in surge protection on the RJ11 and RJ45 line, compatible up to 1 Gbps — so the protection does not throttle a gigabit link. On the mains input, the surge protector is rated at 475 joules.
Is the Cadu 650 compatible with a Synology NAS?
Yes, compatibility with Synology NAS units is stated by the manufacturer. Connected to the USB HID port, this compatibility lets the NAS detect the power cut and shut down properly before the battery runs out, with no volume corruption.
Can it be used behind a generator?
No, generator compatibility is not ensured on this model. If your installation regularly switches over to a generator, you need to choose a UPS that explicitly states this compatibility, or it will keep switching back to battery.
Are both sockets battery-backed, and what type are they?
Two Schuko sockets, both powered by the battery. With 360 W of usable power shared across these two outputs, the UPS is aimed at a compact setup: a tower unit and its monitor, or a broadband router with a small NAS — not an entire office.
What exactly does the Cadu 650's AVR correct?
A boost and buck regulator raises voltages that are too low and lowers voltages that are too high, without switching to battery, as long as the mains stays between 176 and 280 V. Switching to battery, when it happens, takes 2 to 6 milliseconds.
How long does the battery take to recharge after a power cut?
3 hours in normal use, and 4 hours if it has been fully drained. Recharging also works with the unit switched off, and a battery replacement alarm warns you when the battery is reaching the end of its life.
Can the UPS start without power, and does it restart on its own after the power cut?
Yes to both: the cold start function lets you switch it on from the battery with no mains present, and automatic restart restores power as soon as mains power returns. The LCD screen dims to 20% brightness to save battery.
How much space does the Cadu 650 take up, and is it noisy?
287 × 100 × 142 mm and 4.4 kg, a compact tower format that fits on a corner of the desk. The noise level stays below 40 dB, and the unit operates between 0 and 40 °C at up to 90% humidity non-condensing.
What waveform does the Cadu 650 deliver on battery?
A simulated sine wave, built up in steps, not a pure sine wave — the norm on line-interactive UPS units of this size. The output voltage is held at 230 V ±10%, with a frequency stabilised to ±1%.
Is the nJoy Cadu 650 UPS new and under warranty?
Yes, new equipment, with the invoice serving as the warranty document, for a period of 3 years. The datasheet details the built-in protections: overvoltage and undervoltage, battery overdischarge and overcharge, and mains surges.
