Frequently asked questions about this product

What does a 1800R curvature offer on a 24-inch monitor?
It brings the edges of the image back towards your eyes, which heightens the sense of immersion without visibly distorting straight lines. Combined with a VA panel with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, it delivers deeper blacks than an IPS panel in the same category.
What video inputs does the Samsung S36GD offer?
One HDMI input and one VGA input, with a headphone jack. The HDMI cable is supplied: the monitor works straight out of the box, and the VGA input lets you connect an older computer.
Does the 100 Hz of this Samsung monitor make a difference in everyday use?
Yes: at 100 Hz, scrolling a page and moving the cursor look noticeably sharper than at 60 Hz, which is easier on the eyes over a long day. The response time is rated at 4 ms grey-to-grey.
Can the S36GD be used as a USB hub?
No: it has no USB ports. Keyboard, mouse and peripherals stay connected to the computer; the monitor focuses on display, which explains its modest 3.2 kg weight.
