Can this Samsung M50F monitor be used without connecting it to a computer?
Yes. It runs the Tizen system with its streaming apps, the free Samsung TV Plus channels and the Gaming Hub, all controlled with the supplied remote control. You use it as a PC monitor during the day and as a standalone screen in the evening, with no external source at all.
Are the HDMI cable and the remote control included in the box?
Yes, both. The box contains the HDMI cable, the remote control and a power cord only 1.5 m long: check that your socket is within reach. Power is supplied through an external adapter (100-240 V), to be tucked behind the desk or under the wall mount.
What adjustments does the stand allow, and can the monitor be wall-mounted?
The stand provides tilt, from −2° to +15°. The panel has VESA 100 × 100 mounting holes and weighs only 3.9 kg without its stand: articulated arms and wall brackets that meet this standard are suitable. Wall mounting reduces the depth from 200 mm to 42 mm.
Does the monitor have built-in speakers?
Yes: 10 W, with Adaptive Sound, which analyses scenes in real time to optimise the sound for the type of content. The monitor also features Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 5.
Is this 32-inch monitor suitable for gaming?
For casual gaming, yes: 4 ms GtG, a 3,000:1 contrast ratio on a VA panel and HDR10. The refresh rate, however, tops out at 60 Hz: this is not a monitor for high-refresh-rate competitive gaming. The Gaming Hub lets you play by streaming, without a PC or a console.
Are Samsung TV Plus content and the Gaming Hub available everywhere?

Is it comfortable to work in front of all day?
It features Eye Saver mode and Flicker Free technology, which eliminates backlight flicker. The VA panel keeps 178°/178° viewing angles and a brightness of 250 cd/m², adjustable down to a minimum of 200 cd/m².
How much power does it use if I leave it on all day?
23.4 W in typical use, 59 W maximum and 0.5 W in standby, i.e. 34 kWh per year according to the standardised measurement, for energy efficiency class E. The power supply accepts 100-240 V, so it runs on Moroccan mains power without a transformer.
Can I display my smartphone screen on it?
Yes. The monitor supports Mobile to Screen, Sound Mirroring and Wireless On: videos, photos and documents are cast from the phone, without a cable. The data displayed is protected by Samsung Knox multi-layered security.
How much space does it take on a desk, and is it heavy?
Allow 715.5 mm in width, 525.9 mm in height and 200.1 mm in depth with its stand, for 4.7 kg. Without the stand, the panel is only 41.8 mm thick and weighs 3.9 kg. Plan on a desk at least 80 cm wide, and a 6.6 kg carton to take delivery of.
Is the Samsung M5 M50F monitor new and under warranty?
Yes: it is new, genuine and sealed in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. It is also Windows 11 certified and supports HDMI-CEC, so you can control a connected device with the same remote control.
