XMP 3.0 on the Intel side, EXPO on the AMD side: both profiles are certified, with a 5200 MT/s fallback. On-die ECC error correction, thermal sensor and on-board power management for controlled heat.
Sold on its own (1 x 16 GB), a second module remains possible
Tower U-DIMM format, not suitable for a laptop
Native frequency 4800 MT/s, raised by profile
XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles: 5600 then 5200 MT/s
The Patriot Viper Venom 16GB DDR5 5600 MHz CL36 memory module pushes the limits of PC performance. Designed for demanding gamers and creators, it offers a blazing 5600 MHz speed and optimised CL36 latency for instant responsiveness. With DDR5 technology, it doubles the bandwidth of DDR4 while reducing power consumption. Its aluminium heatsink provides excellent heat management for stability and durability. Compatible with XMP 3.0 and EXPO profiles, this memory makes overclocking reliable and simple, ideal for getting the most out of your high-performance system.

Frequently asked questions about this product
Does this Viper Venom memory module work on AMD as well as Intel?
Yes: it carries both an XMP 3.0 profile (for Intel) and an AMD EXPO profile, both certified. Each offers 5,600 MT/s, with a fallback to 5,200 MT/s if the motherboard struggles to hold the higher speed.
Do you need to enable a profile to reach 5,600 MT/s?
Yes: the module boots at its native frequency of 4,800 MT/s at 40-40-40-77 and 1.1 V. It is the profile loaded in the BIOS that takes it to 5,600 MT/s at 36-36-36-68 and 1.25 V.
Is this Patriot memory module suitable for a laptop?
No: it is a U-DIMM format for towers, the long module used in desktop PCs. A laptop requires a SO-DIMM, which has a shorter connector.
Is this product a kit of two modules?
No: it is sold individually (1 × 16 GB). A second module can still be added later, to switch to dual-channel mode without replacing anything.
How does this memory monitor its temperature?
With a thermal sensor built into the module, combined with a matte black aluminium heatsink. Power management is built into the module, which lowers power consumption and extends the module's lifespan.
What does an unlocked PMIC mean on this memory module?
That the built-in power management IC is not restricted: it delivers the power needed for the XMP profile and beyond. This is what allows manual overclocking once the profile is loaded.
Does this memory module correct memory errors?
Yes, through on-die ECC error correction, inside the chip itself. This mechanism is specific to DDR5 and distinct from the ECC used on server memory modules.
Is this Patriot Viper Venom 16 GB memory module new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new Patriot Memory product, reference PVV516G56C36, weighing 52 g and CE, FCC and RoHS certified. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Datasheet: Patriot Viper Venom DDR5 16 GB.
Laptops and mini PCs: the 262-pin SO-DIMM format does not fit a tower. CAS latency 46-45-45-90, 1.1 V voltage and JESD79-5A compliance, on Intel and AMD platforms alike.
Boost your desktop PC's performance with the Silicon Power U-DIMM 16GB DDR5-5600 MHz CL46 memory module. Designed for the latest-generation processors, it delivers a speed of 5600MT/s for exceptional responsiveness and smooth multitasking. Its low 1.1V voltage optimises power consumption, while On-D
Registered in the RDIMM format: it only works in a server designed for that type of memory. Qualified by HPE on its platforms, with error detection that avoids needless replacements.
Works with recent AMD and Intel platforms. Power management built into the module (PMIC) at 1.1 V and on-die error correction, with around 8% lower consumption than DDR4.
Designed for HPE ProLiant Gen9, Gen10 and Gen10 Plus servers, as well as for the Apollo, Synergy and Blade ranges. Stated target: cloud computing, virtualisation and databases.
Intended for mainstream HPE Compute platforms, this server memory is tested and authenticated by HPE before shipping. CAS latency 22-22-22, 1.2 V voltage and unbuffered operation.
Compliant with JEDEC standards, it installs with no tuning and runs at 1.2 V to limit heat inside the case. Bandwidth of 25,600 MB/s and compatibility validated on the common Intel and AMD platforms.
Careful cooling: a 42 mm tall black aluminium heat spreader, to be measured before sliding it under a large CPU cooler. XMP 2.0 profile on Intel, Ryzen support on AMD, for 25600 MB/s of bandwidth.
