Frequently asked questions about this product

Can you plug the Evolve2 50 in via USB and stay connected to your phone?
Yes, that is its dual connectivity: the headset stays plugged into the computer via USB while keeping a Bluetooth link to a second device, with a range of up to 30 m. Both connections work at the same time.
Does this model connect via USB-C or USB-A?
Both: it is supplied with the USB-C/A adapter, so it can move from a recent laptop to an older desktop without buying anything extra.
What does the Evolve2 50's active noise cancellation bring?
It shuts out outside noise to create a zone for concentration, relying on a specially designed acoustic chamber, microphones dedicated to noise suppression and a dedicated chipset.
Does raising the boom mute the mic, and does lowering it answer the call?
Yes, both. Raising the boom mutes the microphone; lowering it unmutes it and answers the incoming call. A single movement replaces the answer button, and the people around you can see it.
How many microphones does this headset use for calls?
Four on the stereo version — two analogue MEMS and two digital — including two dedicated to picking up your voice, driven by a voice-isolation algorithm that filters out background distractions.
Is the headband padded on this stereo version?
Yes: the layered perforated foam padding of Jabra Air Comfort technology is fitted on the stereo version. The ear cups also swivel to follow the movements of your head.
How much does the stereo Evolve2 50 weigh, and how long is its cable?
148.9 g for the stereo version, compared with 99 g for the mono version, with a 1.7 m USB cable that leaves you enough slack to stand up during a call.
Can you call up the voice assistant from the headset?
Yes, a dedicated button gives access to the voice assistant of the connected phone, without taking the phone out of your pocket. The same button switches active noise cancellation on.
Can the busy light be seen from every angle?
Yes, the busylight is built in all the way round, over 360°: it acts as a “do not disturb” sign visible from the front as well as from behind, and lights up during calls.
Can the Evolve2 50 also be used to listen to music?
Its 28 mm speakers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz in music mode, compared with 150 Hz to 6,800 Hz in voice mode. Jabra presents it as a single headset for work and relaxation, with no need to switch headsets during your break.
Which platforms is this Evolve2 50 MS compatible with?
This is the Microsoft Teams-certified variant, also stated to be compatible with Cisco, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, Unify, Zoom and Google Meet. PeakStop and Jabra SafeTone hearing protection is built in.
Is this Evolve2 50 stereo MS new and under warranty?
