Frequently asked questions about this product
Does the Epson TM-H6000V process cheques?
Yes, it is a hybrid printer: the same unit prints receipts and processes cheques. One device on the counter where two used to be needed, with a single cable and a single power supply.
How fast does the Epson TM-H6000V print?
Up to 500 mm/s, but 300 mm/s at the default setting. The maximum value requires suitable configuration: it is the second figure that describes its behaviour out of the box, and therefore the speed actually observed.
How many cuts can the autocutter of the Epson TM-H6000V withstand?
3 million. It is the part that gives out first on a receipt printer: at a few hundred receipts a day, that figure puts its replacement several years of operation away.
What is the lifespan of the Epson TM-H6000V printhead?
It is rated for 200 kilometres of receipts. That is the unit used for POS printers: based on a 20 cm receipt, it represents about one million receipts printed before the thermal head wears out.
How do you connect the Epson TM-H6000V to the till?
Via built-in USB or Ethernet. The PS-190 power supply unit goes with the machine. Ethernet lets it be shared between several checkout stations, which a dedicated USB link does not allow.
Can the Epson TM-H6000V print from a server?
Yes, thanks to Server Direct Print: the printer polls the server itself, with no driver or software on a local computer. It also supports ePOS-Print and ePOS-display, compatible with a cloud-based POS system.
How do you set up the Epson TM-H6000V from a tablet?
It carries an NFC tag: bringing the tablet close to the printer is enough to start pairing, without entering a network address. A real time-saver when deploying several tills in the same shop.
Is the Epson TM-H6000V printer new and under warranty?
New, part number C31CL25112, in original Epson packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. The Epson datasheet details all the specifications.
