What is a 49-inch 32:9 QD-OLED monitor like?
A 5120 x 1440 pixel panel across an active width of 1,196.7 mm — the equivalent of two QHD monitors side by side — with the perfect blacks of OLED: a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1 and a response time of 0.03 ms. The 1800R curvature remains gentle.
What is the real brightness of this QD-OLED panel?
250 nits in SDR, for everyday use, and up to 1,000 nits peak HDR on a small area of the image. The first figure describes a work page; the second only concerns the bright highlights of an HDR scene.
Is a single USB-C cable enough between my laptop and the MPG 491CQPX?
Yes, if your laptop's USB-C port supports video in DisplayPort mode: this cable carries the image and charges the computer at up to 98 W. Otherwise, the monitor offers two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4a.
How does the MPG 491CQPX protect its OLED panel?
With MSI OLED Care 2.0 technology, which automatically reduces the brightness of static images, borders, the taskbar and fixed logos — the four situations that cause burn-in on an OLED panel.
Can you control several computers from the MPG 491CQPX?
Yes: the monitor has a built-in KVM switch, with one USB Type-A port and one USB Type-B port for connecting two machines to the same keyboard and mouse. The USB Type-A to Type-B cable is supplied.
Is the MPG 491CQPX stand height-adjustable?
No: the stand provides tilt from -5° to +20° and ±30° swivel, with no height adjustment. VESA 100 x 100 mm mounting is supported; allow for 10.6 kg and a width of 1,195 mm.
Which cables come with the MSI MPG 491CQPX?
Four: DisplayPort, HDMI, USB Type-A to Type-B and the power cable, along with the quick guide and the warranty card. Every wired connection setup is therefore covered straight out of the box.
Is the MSI MPG 491CQPX QD-OLED monitor new and under warranty?
