Frequently asked questions about this product

Why choose the 512 GB version of the iPhone 17 Pro Max?
Because it films in ProRes RAW 4K at 120 fps: these raw files are by far the largest the device produces. For photos and apps, 256 GB is enough; once professional video comes into play, 512 GB makes sense.
Does the iPhone 17 Pro Max come with a power adapter?
No: the 20 W USB-C power adapter is sold separately. Without it, fast charging — 50% in 20 minutes — will remain out of reach. Any USB-C charger with enough power will do the job, whether wired or MagSafe.
Can the iPhone 17 Pro Max's USB-C port keep up with professional video?
Yes: it is Thunderbolt 3, meaning up to 40 Gbps — eight times the speed of a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port. This is what makes transferring ProRes RAW footage to an editing workstation practical, without tying up the device for hours.
What battery life does the iPhone 17 Pro Max offer?
Up to 47 hours of video playback — it is indeed continuous video playback that is measured, not a day of mixed use. That is ten hours more than the Pro version, the gap reflecting the difference in size between the two models.
Is the iPhone 17 Pro Max's screen readable in direct sunlight?
Its 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED panel reaches 3,000 nits in HDR — a peak brightness rarely achieved. It features ProMotion 120 Hz, stays on in standby (always-on mode) and includes the Dynamic Island.
How far can the iPhone 17 Pro Max zoom optically?
Up to 4x, thanks to its 48 MP periscope telephoto. Beyond that, and up to 8x, the magnification becomes digital. The other two cameras — the Fusion wide-angle and the ultra-wide — are also 48 MP.
Does the iPhone 17 Pro Max record good-quality sound?
It has four studio-quality mics and stereo speakers with spatial audio. This lets you capture an interview or ambient sound directly on the device, in keeping with its professional video modes.

Yes to both, with sub-6 GHz and mmWave 5G on top and a U2 UWB chip, which locates a compatible accessory to within a centimetre. Bluetooth is version 5.3.
