Its TORX Fan 5.0 triple-fan cooling efficiently dissipates the heat of this Blackwell architecture, powered through a 16-pin connector. What power supply does the RTX 5090 VENTUS 3X OC need?
A 1,000 W power supply recommended, connected via a 16-pin connector. This is the most common stumbling block: a 750 W power supply, however well made, is not enough, and the 16-pin cable does not exist on older-generation units.
How much room does this RTX 5090 take up in the case?
325 × 139 × 67 mm, weighing 1,875 g. Its 67 mm thickness takes up well over two slots and nearly 2 kg bears down on the PCIe slot: count the free slots below the graphics slot and plan for an anti-sag bracket if your case can take one.
How does it differ from the RTX 5090 SUPRIM SOC in the catalogue?
In clock speeds and heatsink. This VENTUS 3X OC has a boost clock of 2,437 MHz (2,452 MHz in “Extreme Performance” mode), whereas the SUPRIM SOC goes up to 2,565 MHz and adds a Gaming/Silent dual BIOS. The graphics processor and the 32 GB of memory are identical.
32 GB of GDDR7 on a 512-bit bus: what is it for?
For handling what other cards cannot: the 512-bit bus feeds 21,760 CUDA cores with GDDR7 at 28 Gbps. 4K and 8K gaming, 3D rendering, high-definition video editing and locally hosted AI models all take advantage of this memory capacity.
Do the fans run all the time on this RTX 5090?
No. Zero Frozr stops the three Torx 5.0 fans when the card's temperature drops, and restarts them when it rises again. With no load, a system fitted with this card therefore stays silent, despite the power of the configuration.
How many monitors, and on which outputs?
Four monitors, via three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs and one HDMI 2.1b output, up to 7680 × 4320. HDMI 2.1b supports 4K at 480 Hz or 8K at 120 Hz with DSC compression, variable refresh rate and HDR. G-SYNC and HDCP are supported.
What protects this card against power surges?
Additional fuses built into the circuit board, which add protection against electrical failures, and high-efficiency DrMOS power stages with improved voltage control. On a card with this level of power draw, these protections are no minor detail.
Is the card new and under warranty?
