Frequently asked questions about this product

How are the 160 W of the Aura Studio 5 allocated?
Across four stages: 100 W for the 143 mm subwoofer, 20 W for the 25 mm tweeter and 2 x 20 W for the six 40 mm full-range drivers. The frequency range runs from 45 Hz to 20 kHz (-6 dB).
Does the Aura Studio 5 run on battery power?
No: it runs on mains power, at 100-240 V. It is a living-room speaker, designed to stay in one room, lighting it up and filling it with sound, not to be taken outdoors.
How does the lighting on the Harman Kardon Aura Studio 5 work?
A 360° light signature radiates from the transparent dome, and a lens projects patterns above the speaker. Colours and patterns can be customised in the Harman Kardon One app, and the whole effect can sync with the music playing.
Can the USB-C port on the Aura Studio 5 play music from a USB flash drive?
USB playback is only available on the US version of the model; on other versions, this port is reserved for servicing. It also delivers only 5 V / 0.5 A: music therefore comes in via Bluetooth.
What does Constant Sound Field technology bring?
It aims for even sound throughout the room rather than a single ideal listening spot: the sound stays balanced whether you are sitting facing the speaker, standing next to it or dancing at the other end of the living room.
Can several Harman Kardon speakers be linked to the Aura Studio 5?
Yes: Auracast syncs several compatible Harman Kardon speakers from the Harman Kardon One app, and two Aura Studio 5 speakers can pair in stereo to widen the soundstage. The connection uses Bluetooth 5.4.
Can two people connect at the same time?
Yes, the speaker accepts two mobile devices connected simultaneously via Bluetooth: each person can play their tracks in turn without the other having to disconnect.
How much space does the Aura Studio 5 take up and what is in the box?
306.4 x 234 x 234 mm and 4.2 kg: a round base 23 cm in diameter, to be placed on a console or a deep shelf. The box contains the speaker, the power cable and the quick start guide.
Can you adjust the equalisation on the Aura Studio 5?
Yes, from the Harman Kardon One app, which handles the equaliser, the customisation of light effects, all the compatible speakers in the home and the speaker's software updates.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
