The Bromley 450 is a high-power party speaker from Marshall, IP55-rated against dust and water jets so it can keep the party going indoors and out. Its removable LiFePO4 battery delivers more than 40 hours of battery life, and Bluetooth 5.3 with Auracast lets you sync several devices. Frequently asked questions about this product

Is a microphone included with the Marshall Bromley 450?
No, it must be bought separately. The speaker does, however, offer two XLR / 6.35 mm jack combo inputs, each with a MIC or INST gain switch: a dynamic microphone and a guitar can be plugged in at the same time, and are mixed with the source currently playing.
What effects does the Bromley 450 apply to the voice?
Three, selectable on each of the two inputs: reverb, delay, or reverb and delay combined. The amount is set with the effects knob, and a red CLIP indicator warns you when the input level is clipping.
What is the real battery life of the Bromley 450?
Over 40 hours at medium volume — the duration depending on temperature, the type of music and the equaliser settings. A full recharge takes 3.5 hours, with the battery either fitted in the speaker or removed.
Is the Bromley 450's battery replaceable?
Yes: it comes out with one hand by pressing the locking button under the cover, and replacement batteries are sold by the brand. It is a LiFePO4 battery, a cobalt-free chemistry known for a longer lifespan than conventional lithium-ion.
Does the speaker work without its battery?
Yes: plugged into the mains, the Bromley 450 plays even with the battery removed. And the reverse is also true — the removable battery serves as a power bank to charge a phone, provided it still has more than 20% charge left.
Does the Marshall Bromley 450 have wheels?
No, it is carried by its built-in handle. At 12.32 kg and 366 x 261 x 492 mm, it is a two-handed load over a long distance. Anchor points are provided for a shoulder strap, sold separately.
What can be connected by cable to the Bromley 450?
Four inputs: two RCA for a mixing desk or a CD player, a 3.5 mm jack AUX, a USB-C audio port, and the two microphone or instrument inputs. Note that no cable is included, and a turntable requires a RIAA preamp, also sold separately.
Can several Bromley speakers be linked together?
Yes, by cable: the AUX OUT of the first one feeds the AUX IN of the next, and so on. Each speaker then keeps its own volume setting. The speaker also supports Auracast over Bluetooth 5.3.
How many devices does the Bromley 450 remember over Bluetooth?
It connects to two devices at once and remembers up to ten previously paired devices. As soon as it finds one within range, it automatically tries to reconnect to the last one used.
Can the volume be limited when children are around?
Yes, a child lock prevents the volume from being accidentally turned up to a dangerous level. It is enabled by holding the source selection and light mode buttons for two seconds, and disabled the same way.
What light effects does the Bromley 450 offer?
Three presets, plus lights fully off, cycled through with the dedicated button. The M button also triggers a strobe flash on demand, and its function can be customised in the Marshall Bluetooth app.
What does the Bromley 450's IP55 rating cover?
Protection against dust and against low-pressure water jets: a park, a garden, a rain shower. It does not cover immersion — the manufacturer even specifies that it must neither be submerged in liquid nor rinsed under running water.
How loud does the Bromley 450 get?
Up to 100 dB at 1 metre, delivered in 360° True Stereophonic sound by front and side drivers: the sound surrounds the audience instead of being projected in a single direction. The model was designed for outdoor use, unlike its bigger sibling.
How do you clean the speaker after an outdoor party?
With a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with water, 70% isopropyl alcohol or 75% ethyl alcohol, with the cables unplugged and everything completely dry before plugging back in. Avoid: metal objects, compressed air, bleach and hydrogen peroxide.
Is the speaker new and covered by a warranty?
