Everything that comes out of the box
The interface comes with its USB-C to USB-A cable. The CM25 MkIII microphone is supplied with a pop filter, which softens plosives and the breath of a close voice, and a three-metre XLR cable. The SH-450 headphones carry their screw-on adapter from 3.5 to 6.35 mm. And the cardboard insert of the packaging becomes a desktop mic stand, so you do not have to wait for a stand before recording.

The CM25 MkIII is an electret condenser microphone. Its 20 mm capsule covers 30 Hz to 18 kHz with a clear, detailed character that suits the voice as well as the acoustic guitar. Its cardioid pattern favours what is in front of it and reduces the sides and rear: a bedroom or a living room is heard less in the take. Its self-noise stays at 16 dBA.
Headphones that isolate
The SH-450 are closed-back headphones that surround the ear: they cut out room noise while you sing. Their 32 ohms suit the interface's headphone output, their cable of about three metres lets you move between the desk and the microphone, and they cover 15 Hz to 30 kHz for checking a mix. They weigh 300 g, adapter included.

Does the CM25 MkIII microphone need phantom power?
Yes, 48 V: it is an electret condenser mic that draws 3 mA, and the interface supplies it. The right order: gain at minimum and 48V off, connect the XLR cable, then press the 48V button and set the gain. No battery or separate power supply is needed.
What kind of recordings is the CM25 MkIII microphone made for?

Same microphone, same headphones, same cable: only the interface changes. The Solo Studio suits someone recording alone, a voice then a guitar. The 2i2 Studio adds a second preamp, Auto Gain and Clip Safe, useful for two mics at once or to stop worrying about levels.
