The EVERSE 8 brings together, in a 7.6 kg cabinet, a 2-way speaker with an 8-inch woofer, a 400 W amplifier, a 4-channel digital mixer and a removable lithium-ion battery. Plug in the microphone and the guitar, start the music from the phone, and play a whole day without looking for an outlet.

A day of music on one charge
The 86.4 Wh battery lasts more than 12 hours at an average level of 95 dB SPL, more than 9 hours at 100 dB SPL and more than 6 hours at full output. It recharges in 4 hours with the speaker off, through the mains cord and the built-in charger, and keeps charging while you play on mains power. Being removable, it can be replaced by an EVERSE8-BAT-B spare battery, sold separately, the day its runtime drops.

Input 1, an XLR / jack combo socket, supplies 48 V phantom power to a condenser microphone; input 2 takes a microphone or a guitar directly thanks to its Hi-Z mode; channels 3 and 4 take Bluetooth or a player on mini-jack. Thirty effects, from room or church reverbs to delays and chorus, are switched off and back on with a pedal plugged into the FOOTSWITCH jack.
Feedback cut, music that steps aside
The mixer includes automatic feedback suppression and ducking that lowers the music as soon as someone speaks on inputs 1 or 2. Five DSP modes adapt the sound to the use, from music to speech through live and club, and five user presets keep the settings from one venue to the next.
Two speakers, wireless stereo
Two EVERSE speakers pair over Bluetooth for wireless stereo playback from a phone. The EV QuickSmart Mobile app, on iOS and Android, adjusts each channel remotely from the audience and controls up to six compatible Electro-Voice speakers. Through the XLR MIX OUT output, the mix goes to a second powered speaker or a subwoofer.
On a stand, on the floor or as a monitor
A pole cup under the cabinet takes a speaker stand or a subwoofer pole. Laid on its side, the EVERSE 8 becomes a floor monitor tilted at 25° or 55°, and the menu adapts its setting to the chosen position. A 12 V output powers an Electro-Voice RE3 or R300 wireless microphone receiver placed on the optional tray, and the USB port charges a phone.
As a floor monitor, the grille faces the musician.The IP43 rating applies on battery with a Bluetooth source, with the weatherproof input cover closed. To play with cables in a shower, plan for the EVERSE8-RAINCVR rain cover, which protects the speaker while letting the cables through.

How long does the EVERSE 8 run on battery?
More than 12 hours at an average level of 95 dB SPL, more than 9 hours at 100 dB SPL and more than 6 hours at maximum output. Powering a wireless receiver from the 12 V output, a phone from the USB port or a microphone through phantom power reduces this runtime.
How long does it take to recharge the battery?
Four hours or less with the speaker switched off, six hours or less if it plays at high level while charging. Charging uses the mains cord plugged into the IEC inlet, as the charger is built in. Before the very first use, the manufacturer asks for a full 24-hour charge.
Can a microphone and a guitar be plugged directly into the speaker?
Yes. Input 1 is an XLR / jack combo socket that supplies 48 V phantom power on the XLR, for a condenser microphone; input 2 takes a microphone on XLR or a guitar on jack thanks to its Hi-Z mode. A third source comes in over Bluetooth or through the 3.5 mm mini-jack.
Can two EVERSE 8 speakers be linked in stereo without a cable?
Yes. Two EVERSE speakers pair over Bluetooth for true wireless stereo (TWS) playback from a phone or a tablet. The EV QuickSmart Mobile app, available on iOS and Android, also controls up to six compatible Electro-Voice speakers, including the EVERSE, ELX200 and EVOLVE series.
Is the EVERSE 8 rain-resistant?
It is rated IP43, meaning protected against water splashes and light rain, when running on battery with a Bluetooth source and with the weatherproof input cover closed. For heavier rain, Electro-Voice offers an optional rain cover that lets connected cables pass through.
Can it be mounted on a stand or used as a floor monitor?
Yes. A pole cup under the speaker takes a standard speaker stand or the pole of a subwoofer. Laid on its side, it works as a floor monitor with two tilt angles, 25° or 55°. A position setting in the menu (stand, monitor, kickback) then adapts the sound.
Which effects does the built-in mixer offer?
Thirty effects: room, concert, large hall, church or plate reverbs, delays, chorus, echo, slapback and doubling. A pedal plugged into the FOOTSWITCH jack turns them off and on during the song. The mixer adds automatic feedback suppression and music ducking when someone speaks.
What is in the box?
The black EVERSE 8 speaker, its battery already installed and the user manual. The wireless microphone receiver tray, the rain cover, the padded carry bag and the spare battery are Electro-Voice accessories sold separately.
