Voltage corrected, battery spared
Between 170 and 280 V, automatic voltage regulation boosts or trims the mains voltage before passing it on: a brief sag does not drain the battery. Outside this range, or if the power fails, the UPS switches to battery in 6 ms as a rule, 10 ms at most, and delivers 230 V within 1 Hz of the nominal frequency.
Everything plugs in at the back
Two Schuko outlets powered by the battery and protected against surges, up to 156 J. The resettable input circuit breaker cuts power in case of overload. The yellow connector links the battery: it ships unplugged for transport and is pushed into place before the first power-up.

The BVG700I-GR is the only one with two outlets: it is meant for a single machine. For the computer, monitor and router together, the 1200 VA version moves up to four outlets.
Well placed, it lasts longer
The manufacturer recommends placing it on the floor, 20 cm away from any obstacle in front, behind and on the sides, away from sunlight and humidity, between 0 and 40 °C. Its plug goes straight into a grounded wall socket, without an extension cord, and each output cable is no longer than 2 m.
No USB port on this model: no software shuts the computer down for you. During an outage, four beeps every 30 seconds remind you to save and shut down.

Frequently asked questions about this product
How long does the UPS last during a power outage?
4 min 36 s with a 180 W load, i.e. half of its 360 W rated power. The less you plug in, the longer it lasts; the closer the load gets to 360 W, the shorter the runtime. This reserve is for saving your work and shutting down properly, not for working on through a long outage.
Can a laser printer be plugged into this UPS?
No: the UPS manual excludes laser printers, as well as vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens and medical or life-support equipment. Plug the laser printer straight into a wall socket and keep the UPS outlets for the computer, monitor, box and router, which must stay powered during an outage.
What waveform does it provide when running on battery?
A simulated sine wave, i.e. a stepped approximation of the mains sine wave. It suits computers and their peripherals, for which it is designed. The manufacturer, however, advises against connecting motor-driven appliances. On mains power, the UPS passes the grid voltage through, corrected by the AVR.
Can it be connected to a computer for automatic shutdown?
No: this Easy UPS has neither a USB port nor a serial port, and therefore no automatic shutdown software. It reports its status with a light and beeps: four beeps every 30 seconds on battery, a fast beep when the battery runs low. It is up to the user to save and shut down the machines within the available runtime.
Is the battery replaceable?
Not by the user: one 12 V / 7 Ah battery, sealed maintenance-free lead-acid, replaced through an authorized service center. Its service life is three to five years, shortened by heat, humidity and frequent outages. The UPS tests the battery at power-up and then every 14 days, and warns with a continuous beep when it needs replacing.
How do you set it up on delivery?
By connecting the battery first, as it ships disconnected for transport: pull the connector handle at the back, then push it in. Then plug the UPS straight into a grounded wall socket, without an extension cord or power strip, and press the power button. The battery reaches 90 % charge in about 8 hours.
