From Acer’s TravelMate business range, this plain black 15.6-inch laptop runs an 11th-generation Core i3-1115G4 with 8 GB of DDR4 and a 256 GB NVMe SSD. It is aimed at the admin desk, the front desk or the training room, wherever figures are typed and existing equipment has to be plugged in.

No adapter to hunt for before the meeting
Everything is on the left side: Gigabit Ethernet network port, VGA output for older projectors and screens, HDMI for newer ones, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports and one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, SD card reader and headset and microphone combo jack. A third USB-A port sits on the other side. The laptop charges through its dedicated power socket and the 45 W adapter.

The AZERTY keyboard keeps a numeric keypad on the right, a real gain for invoicing, the till or spreadsheets. The memory is not soldered: two SO-DIMM slots accept up to 32 GB of DDR4 if software becomes more demanding.

Can the TravelMate P2 be connected to an old projector?
Yes: it keeps a VGA output alongside the HDMI output, so it can be connected to meeting-room projectors and screens that only accept VGA. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port completes the set, with three USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports for a mouse, a flash drive or an external drive.
Does the keyboard have a numeric keypad?
Yes: the AZERTY keyboard includes a numeric keypad on the right, handy for accounting, invoicing or spreadsheets. The 15.6-inch format leaves room for this keypad without shrinking the main keys.
Can more RAM be added later?
Yes: the machine ships with 8 GB of DDR4 and has two SO-DIMM slots, for a maximum of 32 GB. The memory is not soldered: a laptop-format DDR4 module is enough to increase capacity the day tabs and applications multiply.
Does the TravelMate P2 connect to the company's wired network?
Yes: an RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet port is built in, no adapter needed. Wirelessly, it uses Wi-Fi 6 2x2 and Bluetooth 5.0 for a wireless headset or mouse.
