1 year warranty — free repair in Morocco if it breaks down during the warranty period

1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many displays can be connected to the HP USB-C G5 Docking Station?
Up to three displays, via two DisplayPort ports and one HDMI 2.0 port. Displays and accessories stay permanently connected to the dock: a single USB-C cable then links the laptop to the whole setup.
Does the dock charge the laptop at the same time?
Yes. The USB-C cable that carries the video, the network and the peripherals also powers the laptop. That is the single-cable principle: just one connector to unplug when you leave. The dock's USB ports also charge your accessories.
Does it work with a MacBook or a Dell, or only with HP laptops?
It is designed for universal compatibility and works with both HP and non-HP laptops that have USB-C or Thunderbolt ports: Apple, Dell and Lenovo are explicitly mentioned. As for operating systems, Windows 7, Windows 10 and macOS are supported.
What exactly are the dock's ports, and which of them charge a device?
  • 1 USB Type-C at the front

Can an IT team manage the computers remotely through the dock?
Yes, on the supported HP laptops: the dock handles PXE boot, LAN/WLAN switching, Wake on LAN and MAC address pass-through, in all power states.
How much space does it actually take up on the desk?
Very little: 122 × 122 × 45 mm and 680 g, a footprint of just 5 × 5 inches. It slips under a monitor stand or behind the laptop, where a wider dock would mean rearranging the desk.
Is the HP USB-C G5 Docking Station compatible with HP Chromebooks?
Yes, three HP Chromebooks are among the validated machines: the Chromebook x360 14 G1, Chromebook x360 11 G2 EE and Chromebook 14A G5. The list also covers the ProBook 430 to 470, the EliteBook 830 to 850, the Elite Dragonfly, the Elite x2 and the ZBook mobile workstations.
My laptop is not on HP's list: can the dock still work with it?
The list names the validated HP models, but the dock is intended for any laptop with a USB-C or Thunderbolt port, HP or not. Check that your machine's USB-C port supports display output and charging: these are the two functions the single-cable setup relies on.
Is the dock new and under warranty?
Yes: new and sealed in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year, consistent with the one-year limited warranty of reference 5TW10AA. Port details are given in the HP product sheet (PDF).
