This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What can the HP 178nw multifunction printer do?
It is a 3-in-1 A4 colour laser: it prints, copies and scans. It does not fax (that function is reserved for the 179fnw model).
Does the HP 178nw printer offer automatic double-sided printing?
No, double-sided printing is manual: the driver guides you through turning the sheets over. There is no automatic duplex unit.
What is the print speed of the HP 178nw?
Up to 18 pages/min in black and 4 pages/min in colour (A4), with a first page in about 12.4 s in black. Resolution 600 × 600 dpi.
Does it have an automatic document feeder?
No. The HP 178nw has a flatbed scanner only; the 40-sheet automatic document feeder is reserved for the 179fnw model.
What connections does it have, and is the cable supplied?
It offers Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB 2.0 and Wi-Fi Direct. A USB cable is supplied in the box.
Can you print from a smartphone with the HP 178nw?
Yes, via the HP Smart app, Apple AirPrint, Mopria, Google Cloud Print and Wi-Fi Direct printing.
Which toners does the HP 178nw use, and are they supplied?
It uses HP 117A toners (black W2070A, cyan W2071A, yellow W2072A, magenta W2073A). It comes with introductory toners (approx. 700 pages in black, 500 in colour) and an imaging drum.
Does it accept compatible non-HP cartridges?
It uses dynamic security and is designed for cartridges with a genuine HP chip. Cartridges with a non-HP chip may not work, or may stop working.
What paper sizes and weights does the HP 178nw accept?
The 150-sheet tray accepts A4, A5, A6, B5 (JIS) and Oficio sizes, with paper weights of 60 to 220 g/m².
Which operating systems does it work with?
It is compatible with Windows 7 to 10 (and Server) as well as macOS 10.11 to 10.14, plus mobile printing via HP Smart and AirPrint.
What print volume is recommended for the HP 178nw?
A volume of 100 to 500 pages per month is recommended, with a maximum duty cycle of 20,000 pages. It is aimed at home and small office use.
Is the printer's screen a touchscreen?
No, it has a 2-line non-touch LCD screen with navigation buttons.
