Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Staging : microphone stand, boom arm, pop filter, mounts and ambient speakers photographed are not included unless stated.
  • Quantity : the number of speakers or channels visible in the image does not necessarily match the set sold.
  • Cables and tips : the cables, adapters, ear tips and cases supplied are those listed in the specifications.
  • Specifications : Bluetooth, jack socket, USB, noise cancellation and battery life cannot be read from a photo.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the Bosch LC1-UM12E8 certified for life-safety sound systems?
Yes, it carries EN 54-24, UL2043 and UL1480 certifications. EN 54-24 is the European standard for loudspeakers used in voice alarm systems: it is the one an inspection body will ask for on a life-safety installation.
What is the actual sensitivity of the LC1-UM12E8 loudspeaker?
89 dB, measured at 1 W and 1 m in the 1 kHz octave band. This is the figure to use when calculating the sound pressure level in the area to be covered: it determines the amplifier power and the spacing between two speakers.
What area does an LC1-UM12E8 cover from the ceiling?
Its dispersion is 180° × 180° at 1 kHz and narrows to 64° × 64° at 4 kHz. Speech therefore carries widely, high frequencies much less so: it is the second angle that determines the spacing between two speakers to maintain intelligibility.
What is in the box of the Bosch LC1-UM12E8?
The 12 W coaxial loudspeaker and its installation instructions. The grille format is unique to the range and comes with a full set of accessories, with several ceiling mounting options.
What frequency range does this ceiling speaker cover?
From 55 to 20,000 Hz at −10 dB — a wide range for a ceiling speaker, extending well below the band needed for voice announcements alone. The coaxial design, with treble and bass aligned on the same axis, contributes to this consistency.
Can this loudspeaker withstand the humidity of a plant room?
It is rated for 0 to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing, and an operating temperature of −25 to 55 °C. The body is made of steel, with a weight of 1.30 kg for the suspended ceiling to support.
Is the Bosch LC1-UM12E8 loudspeaker new and under warranty?
New, reference LC1-UM12E8, in white. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. The datasheet covers all the installation data.
