This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is film included with the Instax Mini 12?
No, film is sold separately: the camera works with FUJIFILM instax mini instant film, which produces credit-card-size prints with a 62 × 46 mm image. Remember to order a pack at the same time as the camera, otherwise it will be unusable when you unbox it.
What batteries does it use, and for how many photos?
Two AA alkaline batteries (LR6), for about 10 packs of 10 shots, i.e. around a hundred photos. The batteries in the box are test batteries: plan on a fresh set. Manganese batteries must not be used; only alkaline batteries are suitable.
How does the close-up mode work, and from what distance?
You turn the lens: one notch to switch the camera on, a second to switch to close-up mode. This mode covers 30 to 50 cm, the distance of a selfie taken at arm's length, and the flash adjusts automatically to avoid overexposure. A mirror on the front helps you frame yourself.
Up to what distance does the flash really light the subject?
From 0.3 to 2.2 m: beyond that, the subject is out of flash range — this is not the camera for photographing a whole room or a concert stage. Also allow 7 seconds of recycling time between two flash photos, with new batteries.
Can you turn off the flash or set the exposure yourself?
No on both counts: the flash fires every time, with its intensity adjusted automatically, and exposure is fully automatic (light levels 5.0 to 14.5 at ISO 800). In low light, the camera switches by itself to slow sync, with a shutter speed of 1/2 to 1/250 s.
How long does the photo take to appear?
About 90 seconds, the film being ejected automatically as soon as the shot is taken. This time varies with the ambient temperature.
How can you tell whether there is film left in the camera?
Two indicators: a shot counter and a film confirmation window. So you can see at a glance whether there are shots left, without having to open the back of the camera.
Does the viewfinder really show what will be printed?
Yes: it is a real-image viewfinder with 0.37 × magnification, a target spot in the centre and parallax correction that activates in close-up mode. It shows the framing more faithfully than on previous models.
Can you get digital versions of your instax photos?
Yes, with the INSTAX UP! app: it scans the prints in high resolution from your phone, stores them in a collection and lets you share them on social media.
Is the camera new and under warranty?
Yes, new and sealed in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. It weighs 306 g without batteries or film, measures 104 × 66.6 × 122 mm, and switches itself off after 5 minutes of inactivity to save the batteries.
