What is the real-world battery life of the Evolve2 75?
24 h of talk time is quoted, but 18 h with active noise cancellation and the busylight switched on — the real-world set-up at a workstation. A 15-minute charge gives back 4 hours.
Can the noise cancellation on the Evolve2 75 be finely adjusted?
Yes: Jabra Advanced ANC technology offers 11 levels of attenuation. Conversely, HearThrough mode lets outside sounds in so you can answer a colleague without taking the headset off.
How many microphones does this headset use for calls?
Eight: four analogue MEMS and four digital, used for beamforming to focus on your voice. Four of them are dedicated to active noise cancellation.
Can the mic boom be stowed away on the Evolve2 75?
Yes, it is retractable: pushed back into the ear cup, it disappears and the headset becomes an ordinary pair of headphones again. Handy for going from a meeting to a commute without looking out of place.
How do you connect the headset to the computer and the smartphone?
The supplied Jabra Link 390 Bluetooth adapter is already paired: plug it into a USB-A port and the headset is recognised. The smartphone connects alongside it, with both connections held at the same time, up to 30 m.
Is pairing with an Android phone made easier?
Yes, the headset supports Google Fast Pair: the Android phone detects it and offers pairing on screen, without going through the Bluetooth menu.
Is the Evolve2 75 also suitable for listening to music?
Its 40 mm speakers cover 20 Hz to 20 kHz in music mode, compared with 100 Hz to 8 kHz in voice mode, with AAC and SBC codecs — AAC being the codec used by Apple devices and most music services.
At 197 g, is it comfortable for a whole day?
The ear cushions are made of dual-density foam covered in faux leather, and the headband gets a matching ultra-soft foam. The headset is rated at 197 g in an on-ear format that rests on the ear.
Can the busylight be seen from all sides?
Yes, it is visible through 360° and lights up during calls. The same lights signal an incoming call and when the headset is on its desk stand.
How does this headset protect your hearing?
With PeakStop and Jabra SafeTone, in line with the European directive on noise exposure and the G616 recommendation against unexpected acoustic shock.
