A wired headset for desks that handle call after call: sound reaches both sides, and its three MEMS microphones are there to pull the voice away from the noise of the floor.

Controls in your hand, not on your ear

Answering, muting the microphone, adjusting the volume or triggering the programmable button all happen on the Link unit, halfway along the cable. It also carries the Busylight indicator. Its cable ends in USB-C, with a USB-A adapter for computers without a USB-C port.

The headset is made of leatherette, polycarbonate, silicone rubber and stainless steel, and it operates from −10 to 55 °C.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What is the difference between this UC version and the MS version of the Engage 50 II?
Certification and the control unit. This UC version is certified for Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco, Unify, Amazon Chime and Works With Chromebook. The MS version is the one that carries Microsoft Teams certification, with a Teams button on the control unit and Teams notifications on the indicator light. The headset, the three microphones and the sound are the same in both versions.
Can it be connected to a computer that only has USB-A ports?
Yes. The Link control unit ends in a USB-C plug and a USB-A adapter is included in the box: the same headset plugs into a recent USB-C laptop as well as an older USB-A desktop. No sound card or jack socket is needed; everything goes through the USB connection of the control unit, which also carries the call buttons.
Does the microphone filter out the noise of an open-plan office or a call floor?
Yes, it is its strong point: three MEMS microphones work together to isolate the speaker's voice and reduce background noise, which makes the conversation clearer for the customer on the line. On the other hand, the headset itself has no active noise cancellation: it does not cut out ambient noise for the wearer.
How does the headset protect the hearing of call centre agents?
Through two built-in Jabra protections: SafeTone 2.0 and PeakStop 105. They meet the requirements of the European Noise at Work directive, the G616 standard and OSHA. This matters on a call floor, where the headset stays on all day and where a sudden sound spike on the line must not reach the agent's ear.
What are the Busylight indicator and the SmartRinger for?
The Busylight indicator lights up during a call, when a call comes in and when muted or on hold: your colleagues can see at a glance that you are busy. The SmartRinger, on the control unit, rings for an incoming call even when the headset is not on your head, so you do not miss a customer. The headset also detects whether it is being worn or lying on the desk.
Is the Engage+ software required to use this headset?
No, it plugs in and works straight away for calls. Engage+, a free download, adds real-time call analysis and on-screen guidance during the conversation. Jabra Direct, on Windows and Mac, handles settings and updates, and Jabra Xpress, on Windows, lets an IT department configure a whole fleet.
