The 2560 x 1440 resolution displays nearly twice as many pixels as Full HD: on a 32-inch screen, that is what avoids visible graininess and keeps text sharp. The IPS panel covers 99% of the sRGB colour space with 178° viewing angles.
What is the DisplayHDR 400 certification on this Odyssey G5 worth?
It is the entry level of HDR on PC: it requires sustained brightness, here 350 cd/m² typical — 280 minimum — to bring out detail in dark scenes without crushing bright areas.
What does the advertised 1 ms GtG response time mean?
It corresponds to an average between 1.00 and 1.99 ms, truncated to the whole number, measured grey-to-grey — the time a pixel takes to change from one shade to another. This value requires Extreme mode to be enabled in the settings.
What video inputs does the 32-inch Odyssey G5 offer?
One HDMI 2.0 input and one DisplayPort 1.2, with a headphone jack on the monitor. From a laptop whose only video output is USB-C, you will need an adapter to one of these two formats.
Does this Odyssey G5's stand allow height adjustment?
