Frequently asked questions about this product

What does the base of this D 10 USB ML II plug into?
Into a computer's USB port, plug-and-play: the base is designed for PCs and softphone software, and the USB cable is included. For a desk phone, the Phone version of the same series is the right choice.
In how many ways can this headset be worn?
Two are in the box — the detachable headband and the ear hook, fitted as standard — and a third is available as an accessory: the neckband, part number 1000716.
How much does the headset weigh depending on how you wear it?
22 g with the ear hook, 50 g with the headband. With the ear hook, you forget you are wearing it over a whole day; the headband holds better if you move around a lot between calls.
How far can you move from the base on an office floor?
55 m in an office building, and 180 m in open space. The figure inside a building is the one to go by: partitions absorb much of the radio signal.
How many hours of talk time per charge?
8 hours in wideband, 12 hours in narrowband, and 100 hours on standby. Wideband gives a more natural voice but uses more power: that is the figure to go by for a day of calls in HD quality.
How does this headset recharge between calls?
You put it on the base: the contact is magnetic, so there is nothing to plug in or line up. Allow 20 minutes for 50% charge and 1 hour for a full charge.
What is in the box of this D 10 USB ML II?
The headset, the base station, a USB cable, the detachable headband, the soft ear hook already fitted, the quick guide and the safety guide. The base draws its power from the computer's USB port.
Can a third party listen in on a conversation on this DECT headset?
The link relies on protected pairing and DECT security certification: EPOS guarantees that no third party can listen in on the call. It uses the 1,880-1,900 MHz band, separate from the Wi-Fi band.
Can you put several headsets on the same call?
Yes, up to four, which lets someone else follow a call for monitoring or training. The base is also suited to a shared workstation, with each person pairing their own headset to it.
What happens if you move too far away with the headset?
It switches itself off after 30 minutes out of range, to save the battery. The transmission power also adjusts continuously according to the distance between the headset and its base.
Is your hearing protected on this office headset?
Yes: ActiveGard clips unexpected sound spikes on the line, and a workplace noise limiter keeps exposure to an average of 85 dB over the day, adjustable from EPOS Connect.
Is this EPOS Impact D 10 USB ML II new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original EPOS packaging, base and wearing accessories included, with a 2-year warranty on part number 1000998, your invoice serving as proof. The manufacturer's document for the Impact D series details all the measurements.
