How far can you move away with the Jabra Engage 75 SE?
Up to 150 m from its radio base, over DECT: a wireless link dedicated to telephony, independent of the computer's Bluetooth. Enough to cross an office floor or go down a storey without leaving the call.
Can this headset be used with a desk phone, a PC and a mobile all at once?
Yes. Its base connects to the desk phone — a telephone adapter cable is supplied — and to the computer, while multipoint Bluetooth 5.0 accepts up to 2 additional devices.
How many hours of talk time does the Engage 75 SE last?
Up to 13 hours, with the busy light switched off — that is the condition under which Jabra quotes this figure. A full recharge takes 90 minutes, with 40% restored in 30 minutes and 80% in one hour.
Can the Engage 75 SE battery be replaced?
Yes, it is user-replaceable on both the mono and stereo versions. Jabra lists the battery pack separately, as well as the headband padding and the ear cushions for the mono headset, which is the format of this reference.
Why choose the mono version rather than the stereo?
Because it leaves one ear free: at reception or in a call centre, you can hear your team and the office while staying on the line. It is rated at 64 g, against 90 g for the stereo version of the same model.
What do the lights on the headset and its base indicate?
Nine states in all: answering and ending calls, battery status, busy light, presence on the desk stand, firmware update, incoming call, microphone mute, charging in progress and volume.
How does the microphone isolate your voice on a noisy office floor?
With two sensors — an analogue MEMS and an analogue ECM — working over 100 Hz to 10 kHz, the speech range. The headset also carries Microsoft Open Office certification, the most demanding for voice pick-up amid noise.
Can the Engage 75 SE also be used to listen to music?
Its 28 mm driver covers 40 Hz to 16 kHz in music mode, against 150 Hz to 6,800 Hz in voice mode. It is nonetheless a mono headset: music is heard through one ear only.
Which meeting platforms is this headset certified for?
Jabra lists Zoom, Google Meet, Amazon Chime and Works With Chromebook, plus Microsoft Open Office certification, and states that it is compatible with all the main unified communications platforms.
