Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the charging stand come with this IMPACT 1030?
No: the CH 40 wireless charging stand is reserved for the 1061 variants. This 1030 charges through its 1.2 m USB-C cable, included, in 1 h 30 for a full charge.
Why a single earpiece on this wireless model?
To keep one ear on the office: you hear your team and what is going on around you while on a call. It is the format of reception desks and of open-plan floors where people work side by side.
What talk time does this IMPACT 1030 offer?
Up to 20 hours of talk time: two days of calls without going back to the socket. Standby is rated at 300 hours on the versions without active noise cancellation.
How do you connect it to the computer without complicated pairing?
With the included BTD 800a Bluetooth dongle, already paired: plugged into USB-A, it makes the headset available straight away. The Bluetooth 5.3 link reaches about 30 m.
Can you use it with the mobile and the computer at the same time?
Yes, up to three devices connected simultaneously. A call coming in on the phone is taken in the headset without unplugging anything from the workstation.
How do you let colleagues know you are on a call?
The headset's busy light comes on during the call and is visible through 360°. On an open-plan floor, it does the job of a “do not disturb” sign, without having to raise your hand.
Do you need to take the headset off to have a quick word?
No: TalkThrough lets the office voices through while you reply, then the headset returns to normal listening. The usual gesture of shifting an earpiece aside becomes unnecessary.
How do you answer a call on this IMPACT 1030?
By moving the mic boom or putting the headset on: the movement answers, ends or mutes the call. No button to find when the phone rings.
Does the mic isolate your voice in a noisy office?
Yes, four adaptive digital MEMS mics driven by EPOS AI follow your voice and reject surrounding noise. They pick up from 100 Hz to 16 kHz, in super-wideband sound.
114 g for a wireless headset: is it comfortable?
That is the stated weight of this mono version, the lightest in the series. The ear cushions are soft and breathable and the headband is padded, a design intended for extended wear.
Is this EPOS IMPACT 1030 new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original EPOS packaging, with dongle, cable and pouch included. Your invoice serves as the warranty document and covers 1 year for reference 1001132. The manufacturer's document for the IMPACT 1000 series details all the measurements.
