Frequently asked questions about this product

Where are the call controls on this IMPACT 760?
On an in-line controller placed 25 cm from the headset, on the cord: answer, hold, adjust the volume, mute the mic. At that distance, it falls right to hand, with no need to look for it and no risk of losing it.
How does this headset isolate your voice in a call centre?
With three digital MEMS mics using automatic beamforming, driven by EPOS AI: they focus on your mouth and suppress everything else. They pick up from 100 Hz to 16 kHz.
How do you know you are talking while the mic is muted?
An LED at the tip of the boom flashes as soon as you speak in mute mode, backed up by an audible alert. This avoids the thirty-second monologue into the void that is so common in meetings.
Can you mute the mic without pressing a button?
Yes: just raise the mic boom, or take the headset off. The gesture mutes the sound, the reverse movement restores it — quicker than a button when someone speaks to you.
How do you let colleagues know you are on a call?
With the 360° busy light: it comes on during the call and can be seen from all sides. It is the signal that reduces interruptions in an open-plan office, without you having to make a gesture.
What does incoming voice clarity do on this headset?
It boosts muffled voices coming into the headset and normalises the volume of incoming calls: no more turning up the sound for a caller who speaks softly, or turning it down in a hurry for the next one.
What is in the box of this IMPACT 760?

Do you need a USB-C port on the workstation?
No: the USB-C to USB-A adapter is included, so the headset plugs into a recent computer just as well as an older machine, with no installation.
115 g all day long: is it bearable in a call centre?
That is the weight of this binaural version — the mono version in the series weighs 80 g. The ear cushions are made of memory-foam faux leather, designed to be worn from morning to evening without painful pressure points.
Is the agents' hearing protected on this model?
Yes, by ActiveGard, which clips noise peaks and ensures compliance with the EU Noise at Work Directive. The passive attenuation of the ear cushions adds to it day to day.
Is this headset easy to put away at the end of the day?
Yes, it folds flat and slips into its compact pouch, included. That is what lets you take it home in the evening without crushing it in a bag.
Is this EPOS IMPACT 760 USB-C new and under warranty?
