What does “adaptive” noise cancellation mean on this Adapt 660?
The headset measures the noise around you and adjusts the cancellation continuously — stronger on a train, lighter in a quiet office. It relies on a 4-microphone system and on EPOS BrainAdapt technologies.
How do you connect this headset to a computer over USB-C?
With the included BTD 800 USB-C dongle, already paired: plug it in and the headset is recognised, with no setup. A USB adapter comes with the kit, and the Bluetooth 5.0 link reaches up to 25 m.
Can you stay connected to the PC and the phone at the same time?
Yes, the simultaneous connection to two devices lets you follow a meeting on the computer and take a mobile call without unplugging or re-pairing anything.
What battery life and charging time are quoted?
Up to 30 hours of use quoted and 360 hours on standby, with a full charge in 3 hours. One evening recharge covers several days of travel.
How are volume and calls controlled on this Adapt 660?
With a touchpad on the ear cup: calls, volume and music playback are controlled with a finger, without hunting for a button. A dedicated Microsoft Teams button also opens the meeting with one press.
Do you have to take the headset off to talk to someone?
No: Talk-Through mode lets the voices around you through for the duration of the exchange, then the headset returns to normal listening. No more sliding an ear cup aside.
Can it be used on a plane, without Bluetooth?
Yes, a 3.5 mm jack cable is included: it plugs into the seat socket or a player, and listening continues even with a flat battery. The cable is 1.2 m long.
Which meeting platforms is it certified for?
Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and Webex by Cisco. It is also listed as compatible with Avaya, Unify, Mitel, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, RingCentral, Enreach and Made for iPhone.
Is this headset also suitable for listening to music?
Yes: the sound is stereo with customisable sound profiles to suit your listening preferences. The ear cups enclose the ear, and the 18-ohm impedance suits a mobile as well as a computer.
Is this EPOS Adapt 660 USB-C new and under warranty?
Yes, new in its original EPOS packaging, dongle, cables and pouch included, with a 2-year warranty on part number 1001373, your invoice serving as proof. The manufacturer document for the ADAPT 600 series details all the measurements.
