This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the 7.1 surround sound work on any PC?
No: 7.1 positional audio is only available on Windows 10 64-bit. That is the limitation to know before buying, since this is the mode that lets you pinpoint exactly where each sound comes from in game; the headset of course remains usable for everything else.
Can you connect it to a console?
Yes, to a PS4: the Kraken V3 X's USB connection is listed as compatible with PC and PS4. It is a wired headset that plugs in directly, with no control box or adapter, but it takes up a USB port — worth checking if your setup is already short of them.
How can I tell whether my mic is muted?
By the green stripe under the mute button: when it is visible, the mic is active. The mute button and the volume dial are both under the left ear cup, within reach of your finger without taking your eyes off the game or opening any software.
How should you position the mic so you are heard clearly?
The mic diaphragm must face your mouth, with the vent on the opposite side. Razer has put a small mic icon on the diaphragm side so you can spot the right way round at a glance. As the boom is flexible, you set it once and for all.
What do the 40 mm TriForce drivers actually bring?
They are 40 mm drivers divided into three parts, which handle high, mid and low frequencies separately. The highs gain richness and the bass gains power, with a sound that does not get muddy.
Can you go further than the included 7.1?
Yes: the Kraken V3 X can be upgraded to THX Spatial Audio, a more advanced surround sound app offering custom profiles optimised for your favourite games. Buying the headset entitles you to a 50% discount on this upgrade, via the promo code shown in the 7.1 Surround Sound app.
Do you need software for the RGB lighting?
Yes, customisation is done in Razer Synapse: there you set the ear cups' Chroma RGB lighting from 16.8 million colours, with dynamic effects that react in game. The Chroma ecosystem covers hundreds of games and apps.
Is it comfortable over long gaming sessions?
It weighs just 285 g and relies on three elements: breathable hybrid fabric and memory foam cushions, a softly padded headband that relieves pressure on the head, and a calibrated clamping force that holds firmly without squeezing.
Is the Razer Kraken V3 X headset new and under warranty?
Yes: it is new and in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice. The invoice serves as the 1-year warranty — keep it together with the reference RZ04-03750300-R3M1, as it is what opens a warranty claim.
