How do calls hold up when running outdoors on a windy day?

Three mics per ear, six in total, pick up your voice while shutting out everything else, and a beamforming algorithm reduces the background noise. The windproof design limits the distortion caused by air friction: this is exactly the use case this model is designed for.

Do the Endurance Peak 4 stay in place during exercise?

That is what they are made for: the JBL oval tubes and the TwistLock locking design are complemented by a liquid silicone ear hook with memory wire, which bends to fit every ear shape. Each earbud weighs 10.5 g, i.e. 21 g for the pair.

Is the charging cable included?

No, it is not included. The box contains the earbuds, the charging case, an enhancer, three sizes of ear tips, the warranty leaflet and the quick start guide. You will need your own USB cable — your phone's cable will do.

How long do they last with noise cancelling on?

8 h from the earbuds alone, with noise cancelling on, and 32 h in total with the case. With it off, you get 12 h and 48 h. The headline figure of 48 h therefore assumes noise cancelling is off: 8 h is the safer figure to plan around.

How long do they last on calls?

Up to 5 h with noise cancelling on, 6 h with it off. The mic and voice processing use more power than simple playback. If you are caught short, 10 minutes of charging gives you 4 h of listening, and a full charge takes 2 h.

Can you swim with the Endurance Peak 4?

The earbuds are rated IP68, the highest rating in the standard: sweat, rain, salt water and sand are stated to have no effect, as are high temperatures and high humidity. The case, however, is only rated IPX2 and should be kept dry.

Can you hear traffic without taking the earbuds out?

Yes, with Ambient Aware mode, which lets outside sounds back in and even lets you talk to someone without removing the earbuds. Four noise-sensing mics handle the adaptive noise cancelling, whose levels can be adjusted in the app.

Can they be connected to two devices at once?

Yes, multipoint connection handles two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, and Google Fast Pair pairs an Android device with a single tap. The connection uses Bluetooth 5.4, and Google Finder helps you locate them if you leave them behind.

What can you adjust in the JBL Headphones app?

The level of noise cancelling and ambient mode, and the sound profile to suit the intensity of your session — light, moderate or intense, or a custom setting. A relax mode offers five soundscapes, from ocean waves to a crackling fire, and Personi-Fi 3.0 maps your hearing profile.

How good are the Endurance Peak 4 drivers?

10 mm dynamic drivers, 16 ohms, 108 dB sensitivity at 1 kHz over 20 Hz – 20 kHz, with sound pressure capped at 95 dB. JBL Spatial Sound also widens the stereo image, whether for a workout or a film.

Are these JBL earbuds new and under warranty?
