Frequently asked questions about this product

Can a second processor be added to this ProLiant ML350?
Yes: one processor is installed — a 12-core Xeon Silver 4510 at 2.40 GHz — and two sockets are available. The second one can be added later, when the workload justifies it.
How far can this server's memory be expanded?
It comes with 64 GB of DDR5 Smart Memory and the platform goes up to 8 TB. There is therefore considerable room for growth.
Does this ProLiant ML350 stay in service if a power supply fails?
Yes: two hot-pluggable 1,000 W Titanium power supplies. The server keeps running if one of them fails, and the unit can be replaced without shutting the machine down.
Can this server take a compute graphics card?
Yes: it is compatible with NVIDIA L40, A16, L4 and RTX 4000 Ada accelerators, as options, in its 4 PCIe Gen5 x8 slots.
Can this tower server be rack-mounted later?
Yes: it ships in a 4U tower format, but a rack chassis is available as an option. The installation can therefore move from a technical room to a proper rack.
Is this server protected against firmware tampering?
Yes: Silicon Root of Trust, UEFI Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. The root of trust etched into the silicon verifies the firmware before it boots.
Is this HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11 server new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new HPE server, part number P71671-425, supplied with two 960 GB SATA SSDs, an HPE MR408i-o RAID controller with 4 GB of cache and iLO 6 management. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for a period of 1 year.
