Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the charging stand come with this Engage 55 SE mono?
Yes, this part number includes the charging stand: you place the headset on it between calls, without plugging in a cable. A storage pouch completes the set for when you are on the move.
Does the USB-C adapter plug in without installing anything?
Yes: the Jabra Link 400 USB-C DECT adapter is supplied and recognised immediately. It creates a radio link dedicated to voice, without going through the computer's Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
How far can I move away from my desk with this headset?
Up to 150 m around the adapter plugged into the computer. Partition walls reduce this range, but it is easily enough to cross an office floor or walk to the printer without leaving the call.
Why choose the mono version of this Engage 55 SE?
To stay tuned to the office: at a reception desk or on a switchboard, you need to hear a visitor or a colleague while on a call. The headset weighs only 57 g, compared with 83 g for the stereo version.
How realistic is the stated 13-hour battery life?
It is measured with the busylight switched off: a Busylight left on continuously uses some power. A full recharge takes 90 minutes, and 30 minutes is enough to get back to 40%.
Do conversations stay confidential over this link?
The DECT link has security level C, the highest in the standard. That is what allows it to be used in departments handling customer files or regulated data.
What happens when the battery wears out?
It can be replaced by the user: the lithium-ion battery is designed to be swapped without going through a repair workshop. At a workstation occupied all day, this extends the headset's life by several years.
Does the dual microphone cope in a reception hall?
Yes: the two capsules compare what they pick up to isolate your voice from ambient noise, over a range of 100 Hz to 10,000 Hz. A visitor talking nearby does not come through on the call.
Is hearing protected on this model?
Yes: PeakStop clips sound spikes and SafeTone 2.0 manages exposure over the day, with compliance with the European directive on noise at work and the G616 standard.
