Do you need two physical SIM cards to use two lines on the Galaxy A57?
No: beyond the two standard nano-SIMs, the phone accepts one card plus an eSIM, or two eSIMs. The second number is then activated in a few minutes, remotely, without opening the tray or waiting for a card to be sent.
How much of the Galaxy A57's 256 GB is used out of the box?
The system and preinstalled apps take up part of it: 231.9 GB is actually available for your files. That is the figure to compare with the size of your current photo library before choosing.
Does the Galaxy A57 last the day under heavy use?
Its 5,000 mAh battery is rated for up to 2 days of normal use, and up to 29 hours of video playback non-stop — two different measurements. When you are caught short, Super Fast Charging 2.0 regains 60% in half an hour.
What is the difference between the Galaxy A57's 50 MP sensor and the other two?
The 50 MP is the only one that is optically stabilised: it is the one that works by default and copes with low light. The 12 MP ultra-wide is used to widen the frame, the 5 MP macro to get within a few centimetres — two supporting cameras, best kept for daylight.
Do you need a tripod to take photos in the evening with the Galaxy A57?
No: the optical stabilisation and the 1.0 µm pixels of the main sensor capture more light, and the image processor sharply reduces noise. Handheld night shots come out sharper and less blurry than on the previous generation.
How do you listen to music on the Galaxy A57?
Sound comes out in stereo through the speakers. For wired headphones, audio output goes through the USB-C port — a model with a 3.5 mm plug therefore needs an adapter. Wirelessly, Bluetooth 6.0 takes over for earbuds and watches.
Does the Galaxy A57 take advantage of the latest-generation Wi-Fi routers?
Yes: its 802.11ax Wi-Fi module covers 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, with MIMO and 1024-QAM. The 6 GHz band is the least congested, and it is the one that maintains throughput when many devices in the home are transmitting simultaneously.
Does the Galaxy A57 offer a desktop mode on an external display?
This mode, Samsung DeX, is not supported on the Galaxy A57: no windowed desktop will be displayed on a monitor connected to the phone. Bear this in mind if this use was one of your selection criteria.
