Do you have to give up the second SIM to add a microSD card to the Galaxy A27?
Yes: the tray is hybrid, its second slot taking either a nano-SIM or a microSD card of up to 2 TB. On this 256 GB version the question matters less: most users will keep both lines active.
Can the Galaxy A27 withstand being submerged in water?
Its IP64 rating covers dust and splashes, not immersion. A rain shower, a spilled glass or wet hands are not a problem; baths, swimming pools and rinsing under the tap are to be avoided.
How long can the Galaxy A27 play video without recharging?
Up to 23 hours of continuous video playback, from a 5,000 mAh battery. This figure does not correspond to a day of mixed use, where the network and background apps weigh more heavily. 25 W charging recovers 45% in 30 minutes.
Does the Galaxy A27 play sound in stereo?
Sound comes from a single speaker, with no stereo effect. Headphones or a speaker immediately restore the soundstage for a film or a game. Wired headphones plug into the USB-C port, with an adapter for a 3.5 mm plug.
What difference does 8 GB of RAM make on the Galaxy A27?
The system keeps more apps in memory: going back to a tab or a conversation does not trigger a full reload. It is the most noticeable difference from the 6 GB version, which has the same processor and screen.
Does the Galaxy A27 offer a desktop mode on an external display?
This mode, Samsung DeX, is not supported by the Galaxy A27: no windowed desktop will appear on a monitor connected to the phone. Quick Share is still available for exchanging files with a PC, a Mac or a tablet.
Which Wi-Fi standard does the Galaxy A27 support?
Wi-Fi 5 (dual-band 802.11ac, 2.4 and 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1. That is enough for video streaming and wireless earbuds; the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 show mainly in a home saturated with devices connected at the same time.
Does the Galaxy A27 have optical zoom?
Its zoom is digital, up to 10x: the image is cropped, not magnified optically, and detail is lost the further you push it. The 50 MP f/1.8 main sensor, however, has optical image stabilisation, which really matters in low light.
Does the Galaxy A27's front camera have autofocus?
Its focus is fixed: the 12 MP f/2.2 sensor has no autofocus, no stabilisation and no dedicated flash. A sharp portrait is achieved at arm's length in decent light. The three rear sensors, for their part, have autofocus and stabilisation.
What AI features does the Galaxy A27 offer?
The Awesome Intelligence features: Object Eraser to remove an unwanted element from a photo, voice transcription to convert a recording into text, and Circle to Search to start a search by circling an item with your finger.
