Frequently asked questions about this product

Is 128 GB enough on an iPhone 15?
For apps, messaging and a reasonably sized photo library, yes. The thing to watch is video: the device films in 4K Dolby Vision, a bulky format. As the storage cannot be expanded, the 256 GB version makes sense if you film regularly.
Does the iPhone 15 come with a charger?
No: the 20 W USB-C power adapter is sold separately. The device's port is indeed USB-C and not a Lightning connector, so you can reuse the charger from a laptop or a recent tablet.
What battery life is claimed for the iPhone 15?
Up to 20 hours of video playback — the figure measured is indeed continuous video playback, not a day of mixed use. The battery is lithium-ion, and the device charges over USB-C or wirelessly on a compatible charging pad.
Does the iPhone 15 have a dedicated telephoto lens?
No: its 2x zoom is achieved by cropping the centre of the 48 MP main sensor, whose resolution allows this magnification with no visible loss. A 12 MP ultra-wide camera completes the set-up, and the front is a 12 MP TrueDepth camera.
How good is the iPhone 15's screen?
It is a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display at 2556 × 1179, reaching 2,000 nits in HDR, with True Tone and the Dynamic Island. A 120 Hz refresh rate, however, remains the preserve of the Pro models.
What is the iPhone 15's body made of?
An aluminium frame and a glass back, with a Ceramic Shield front and an IP68 rating — fully dust-tight, protected against prolonged immersion in fresh water.
Does the iPhone 15 support eSIM and Wi-Fi 6?
Yes to both, plus 5G sub-6 GHz. An eSIM is activated remotely with your operator, without handling a card. Bluetooth is version 5.3, and sound comes out through stereo speakers with spatial audio.
What is inside the iPhone 15's A16 Bionic chip?
A 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine for artificial intelligence tasks. RAM is 6 GB, and unlocking is done with Face ID.
Does the iPhone 15's USB-C port allow fast transfers?
It runs at USB 2 speed: that is fine for charging and routine syncing, but copying tens of gigabytes of video takes patience. The connector itself is indeed universal, unlike on the previous generation.
Is the iPhone 15 easy to use one-handed?
Yes: 14.76 × 7.15 × 0.78 cm and 171 g. With a 6.1-inch diagonal, it is a compact format, noticeably lighter than the Max versions in the range, which exceed 230 grams and 16 centimetres in height.
Is the iPhone 15 new and under warranty?
