Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the iPhone 15 come with a charger?
No: the 20 W USB-C power adapter is sold separately. Plan to get one if you don't already have one; otherwise, charging will run at the power of your current charger. The device's port is indeed USB-C, not a Lightning connector.
Is the iPhone 15's USB-C port fast?
It runs at USB 2 speed: that is fine for charging and routine syncing, but copying several tens of gigabytes of video takes patience. The Pro models of the same generation, by contrast, go much faster.
What battery life is claimed for the iPhone 15?
Up to 20 hours of video playback — the figure measured is indeed continuous video playback, not a day of mixed use. The battery is lithium-ion and charges over USB-C or wirelessly on a compatible charging pad.
Does the iPhone 15 have a telephoto lens?
It has a 2x zoom, achieved by cropping the centre of the 48 MP main sensor — its resolution allows this magnification with no visible loss. A 12 MP ultra-wide camera completes the set-up, and the front is a 12 MP TrueDepth camera.
Does the iPhone 15 have a 120 Hz screen?
Its display is a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED, at 2556 × 1179, reaching 2,000 nits in HDR, with True Tone and the Dynamic Island. 120 Hz ProMotion, however, remains exclusive to the Pro models in the range.
Is the iPhone 15 water resistant?
It is IP68-rated: the 6 means it is fully dust-tight, the 8 means protection against prolonged immersion in fresh water. Its front is also protected by Ceramic Shield, Apple's toughened glass.
Does the iPhone 15 take a physical SIM card?
eSIM is among its wireless technologies, alongside Wi-Fi 6 and 5G sub-6 GHz. Check with your operator which option suits you before ordering, as an eSIM is activated remotely.
What does the iPhone 15's A16 chip consist of?
A 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine for artificial intelligence tasks. RAM is 6 GB and storage is 256 GB.
Does the iPhone 15 film in Dolby Vision?
Yes, in 4K Dolby Vision at up to 60 frames per second. Dynamic range and colours are recorded frame by frame, giving a far more nuanced result than standard video on a compatible screen.
Is the iPhone 15 easy to use with one hand?
Yes: 14.76 × 7.15 × 0.78 cm and 171 g. With a 6.1-inch diagonal, it is a compact format, significantly lighter than the Max versions in the range, which exceed 230 grams and 16 centimetres in height.
How do you unlock the iPhone 15?
With Face ID, the facial recognition handled by the 12 MP TrueDepth camera on the front, which is also used for selfies and video calls. Sound comes out through stereo speakers with spatial audio.
Is the iPhone 15 new and under warranty?
