The ATW-11/P combines an ATR35cW omnidirectional lavalier mic, an ATW-T1 bodypack transmitter and a half-rack ATW-R1 receiver. It is the AT-One system for speech: presentations, classes, video. This version operates in the DE3 band, from 482 to 512 MHz.

A 6 g mic on the collar

The ATR35cW is an omnidirectional electret lavalier mic in presenter style: it picks up the voice intelligibly and accurately without having to be aimed, and stays discreet on camera. It attaches with its clip and is protected from breath by its foam windscreen. Its 1.4 m cable ends in a 4-pin connector that locks onto the transmitter.

An adjustable transmitter on the belt

The ATW-T1 bodypack transmitter weighs 71 g without batteries and transmits at 10 mW for up to 10 hours on two AA batteries. A gain control and a -10 dB pad match it to the connected mic: its connector also accepts Audio-Technica cW-style headworn mics and cables.

A receiver that fits in a rack

The ATW-R1 receiver shows the channel, indicates radio reception and audio signal, and works in diversity on its two detachable antennas. It outputs on balanced XLR or 6.35 mm jack, at mic or line level, and mounts in a 19-inch rack with the supplied kit. Up to four AT-One systems can share a room if they stay in the same frequency group.

What is the frequency band of the ATW-11/PDE3?

The DE3 band: 482 to 492 MHz and 495 to 512 MHz, split into two groups of four frequencies, channels 11 to 14 and 21 to 24. It differs from the European F version, at 824 to 831 MHz and 863 to 865 MHz. The use of these frequencies is subject to national regulations: check with the relevant authority before use.

How many AT-One systems can be used at the same time?

Up to four, as long as they stay within the same frequency group: each group brings together four channels designed to work together without interference. In two separate rooms, group 1 can be used in one and group 2 in the other. Each transmitter is set to the channel chosen on the receiver.

Can another microphone be connected to the bodypack transmitter?

Yes. Its locking 4-pin connector accepts Audio-Technica cW-style lavalier mics, headworn mics and cables. A gain control matches the transmitter's sensitivity to the connected mic or instrument, and a switch adds 10 dB of attenuation if the signal is too strong.

What battery life does the bodypack transmitter have?

Up to 10 hours on two 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries, depending on the battery type and use; the batteries are not supplied. The transmitter indicator flashes when they run low. The receiver runs on the 12 V AC adapter supplied in the box.

How do I connect the receiver to a mixer?

Through its balanced XLR output, at +4 dBV, or its unbalanced 6.35 mm jack output, at -2 dBV, with a standard cable, never both at once. A switch sets the output to mic level (-20 dB) or line level (0 dB) depending on the input used. No audio cable is supplied in the box.

What is the range between transmitter and receiver?

60 m in typical conditions. To make the most of it, place the receiver at least 1 m above the floor and 1 m from a wall or metal surface, keep at least 3 m between transmitter and receiver, and set the squelch as low as possible, since raising it reduces the range.

What is in the ATW-11/PDE3 box?

The ATW-R1 receiver with its two detachable antennas, its AC adapter and its rack kit, the ATW-T1 bodypack transmitter and the ATR35cW lavalier mic with its clip and foam windscreen, all in a carrying case. Two AA batteries and an XLR or jack cable still need to be provided.
